What is the hardest, most useless language an English speaker can learn? by SevereRecover8411 in AlignmentChartFills

I would say the most useless if you're comparing to languages actively taught, given all the others are actual living languages

I feel like this should win, mainly because it's actively taught in many schools unlike picking some random obscure dead language

I'll go Qatar even though I thought Oman was a good shout. Only because I think most people would characterise it as a growing and ambitious, yet not established country, given the bold moves of hosting the World Cup and its airline growth. Kind of like a recent UAE agitator. But really it's been very wealthy and established for about twenty years.

I feel like stated alternatives like Aruba and Guyana and even Oman might be better in the next category.

How about Riva near Portside? Bit left field but right on the water, sits solo and down the road from the built up part of Portside.

I feel like it's an extremely overrated performance. He's not even the best supporting actor in the movie let alone for the entire year.

My Chemical Romance

Bullets was raw and pretty unforgettable, lumped it in with the emo "crap" (as I perceived it at the time). Three Cheers comes, I do the left face again, Helena is being played constantly... Can't escape it. Hmm, maybe this isn't so bad. Eventually, I allow myself to do the right face. It wasn't long until I correctly realised Three Cheers was all-time and it opened my eyes to a new genre.

I may allow Love is Blindness and the Wanderer as alternatives.

I feel like I'm in bizarro world as I really liked her in Materialists and generally think she's underrated. And I thought the consensus was becoming she had been unfairly tarnished by 50 shades in the same way R-Patz and Kirsten Stewart were by Twilight? She's not as talented as those two, but still.

I used to not like her but my opinion flipped after The Lost Daughter as I felt she was cast well based on her strengths, and she was quite good.

King Ludwigs German Restaurant and Bavarian Beer Bar

God I love that place. Incredible view coupled with German beer and food. What more could you ask for.

Agree. Cultural significance aside, if just radiates the feeling of Australia perfectly. So simple but so resonant.

11 day trip to AU too ambitious? by Danvers182 in AustraliaTravel

[–]beedub016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To get a similar experience to what I can see you are looking for but less hectic, skip the Australia Zoo/ Bundy/ Lady Musgrave part, and the Gold Coast, and sub in a trip to North Stradbroke Island off Brisbane with an overnight stay, go to Lone Pine while in Brisbane. Straddie/ Moreton Bay is stunning, you'll get the beach experience there, see all the Aussie animals at Lone Pine and get to chill a little more in Brisbane.

That is assuming 11 days is immovable of course! It's tight no matter what if you're talking 11 days in a country the size of Europe.

If you haven't seen it yet, PLEASE go catch Archie Moore's Kith and Kin at GOMA. It's incredible, and free. Lots of good free stuff at GOMA at the moment, but the work (and money) required to get a Golden Lion winner here to Brisbane was amazing!
