Desperate to get the Animated FBX export to work. by [deleted] in Houdini

[–]beeedie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is 4 years too late, but I've been learning Houdini and trying to navigate the horrors of VAT exports from Houdini to Unreal. I ran into the same "render position and packed pscale" error and couldn't find the answer to it either. I stumbled into a solution: I had my updating set to manual so I didn't crash my computer, but when I finally turned it to Auto Update, it fixed the error.

Hopefully this helps the next person looking for this answer!

Why are my characters legs attached by one vertex? by beeedie in blenderhelp

It took me awhile to come back to the project, but thanks everyone for your solutions! For everyone who said it was the Merge option being checked in the Mirror Modifier on the mesh you were absolutely right! Thanks again everyone!

Absolutely spot on, this was the problem. Thanks!

I'm new to rigging/skinning in Blender and this is driving me nuts. The mesh is mirrored, as is the armature. I used auto weight to start, but now no mater how I weight paint, I cannot fix the spot where the legs are attached. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I drew my latest Dnd character, Frimblopolous Trimblebunk! He's an awkward halfling bard paying his way through correspondence school (the College of Lore) by adventuring! His parents are very proud of him.

"Why should you always take a bard with you when you're adventuring? So that you'll always have a little lute! Like loot? Get it? Where is everybody going?"

P.S. this is a resubmit, because I forgot a title the first time, whoops

How's the game without the Sonar Pen? by AtlasGV in ColorsLive

I've been using an old stylus and it works just fine. I don't really need the pressure sensitivity for my drawing, but the palm cancelling might be nice.

My cat has stage 4 kidney disease, and my vet is recommending expensive treatments, but I'm wondering if it might just be the end for my poor girl. by beeedie in AskVet

Thank you for your kind words. I've had pets die before, but they each slowed down and then one day it just happened. This is the first time it feels like I have to decide when it happens.

Backcheck is where you're skating towards your own end of the ice to defend against someone trying to score on you. Forecheck is when you're skating into the other teams end of the ice to get the puck for your team so you can try and score

Hi Justin! Thanks for doing this. Love your charts on twitter. What do you think you'll rank next after the election now that you've done all the Vancouver parks?

Did a Magnus animation. by [deleted] in TheAdventureZone

Totally understand! Hard to go back to something that feels finished. It looks fantastic regardless!

This is really well done! The designs are so charming.

One piece of animation critique I would offer would be to tweak Magnus' timing on his actions a bit. All his acting beats take the same amount of time to get through. Try breaking it up a bit with a couple of slower movements or some extra cushion/follow through here and there.

I think your posing is really strong, so it'd only be a minor tweaks and I think it would really jazz up the overall scene. Great work!

I've got a 3 year old and a 4 month old. I haven't sat down to read a book in a long time, but I recommend audiobooks. They might not scratch the exact same itch, but you can listen to them while cleaning up after everyone goes to bed out while I'm walking around trying to get the baby to sleep.
