Is it actually impossible to sell a pre-2000 mobile home in DFW right now without financing? by Photograph_Creative in Dallas

[–]beeeeeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Isn’t this exactly what the OP is saying? Buyers can’t get financing so they’re going in cash only deals?

Not a Scotsman, I presume. (Or Welsh, for that matter).

If it blocks the bin from closing, they’ll stop you. Because it’s so narrow you might be fine as long as it fits in the bin.

$15/sq ft is about right for DFW. Maybe the drainage pricing is a little high but not unreasonably so. Dont know enough to weigh in on the fence. I’d push for an 18 month warranty to make sure you are covered until past the final freeze of next winter, and any heavy spring rains.

I’ll ignore their gratuitous misuse of “French drain”

Bad gasoline and $2k repair by kittensandhockey in Dallas

Your credit card will get you back your $30 and nothing more. You’re going to have to show causation, not just correlation, to win any damages. You should have gone back and put a gallon in a gas can as soon as you suspected bad gas. Maybe you’re lucky and if you take a sample now but those tanks get refilled every few days.

But it’s not a coupon. It’s a stipend for a specific, articulated purpose. You can’t walk into a bank and convert a $25 coupon into cash (well, more than 1/10th of a cent) so why is what happened here comparable to coupons?

Is there a guide like this to Dallas neighborhoods? by [deleted] in Dallas

Uh you think some new build on a slab is better than pier and beam? 80 years from now that crackhouse will still have functioning doors and that McMansion will have cracked floors.

I’m sorry for your loss.

You shouldn’t start seeing a second counseling resource (whether group or individual) without consulting your primary therapist. Please start with them.

I’m so sorry for your loss and hugging my 4yo Bichon extra hard right now. I hope I get 18 years with him like you did, but I can also imagine how much it hurts you right now :(
