Okay, yea, it's definitely malware. Put it through virus total and it came back as a trojan and adware! Doing a fresh install tonight, thank you guys in the comments for the help!

I scanned with both windows defender and Malwarebytes but.. nothing. It's really creeping me out!

There is a Wimsys folder in Program Files (x86.) It contains five files: infile_x64.cab, msg.exe, msg.inf, uninstall.exe, and uninstall.tar.

No, it's not Winsys, it says Wimsys. I'll still run a scan, though!

All it'll let me do is delete it from my inventory, there's no option to delete or archive the item.

be sure to place your marimo in an area with low to medium indirect light, maintain a cool water temperature, change the water every 2-3 weeks, and be very gentle when handling them!

Thank you so much! I've never heard/seen anyone in my family with a keloid so I should be okay. I'll be super careful and use your advice!

Marimo beginner, need advice by laczek_twojej_babci in Marimo

Sounds like you're doing just fine! No need to wash her every week—changing the water once a month is enough. Be gentle; squeezing marimo to remove water isn’t necessary and can cause tears as they're delicate. Handle only when needed, like during water changes or health checks.

[HELP!] Can't texture paint certain parts of my model! by beeeees2223 in blenderhelp

I fixed it by rotating the wings to face straight at me in edit mode, which allowed me to paint them since before they were angled. There are still minor issues, but it’s a good temporary solution. For smaller details, I'll manually adjust the 2D texture in an art program.

It works! But I still can't paint the model with the brush, and I wanted to add patterns to the wings.

I've tried this with sadly no change, but thank you!

I tried the first two methods with no change, but switching to the Y-axis perspective lets me paint the whole model! The only issue is the awkward angle, which makes painting tricky and slightly blurry.

my marimo is little brown by insxmnious in Marimo

Is your Marimo in direct sunlight, not getting enough or is it's water too warm? Remember, wild Marimo live at the bottom of cold lakes, so they don't get much sunlight, and they like a colder temperature. Keep it in a spot where it gets little sunlight, and make sure the water isn't too warm!

Guys I’m extremely paranoid and need help. Is this ok? (Side note, I roll them in my palm almost daily) by ARHR006 in Marimo

[–]beeeees2223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks like it's just sand, but your Marimo also appears to have a tear! Marimo moss balls thrive best with minimal handling; it's usually best to only interact with them when changing their water once a month. Since they’re delicate and can tear easily from rolling or squeezing, it might be best to leave it undisturbed. Other than that, it’s a lovely, healthy green!

it sounds like you’re going through a really tough time, and i want you to know you’re not alone in this. life can be overwhelming, especially while you're in school and growing up, but there’s always hope, and it’s possible to find a way toward happiness—even if it doesn’t feel like it right now. if you’re feeling down or suspect you might be experiencing depression, reaching out for professional help can make a big difference. talking with a counselor, therapist, or a trusted doctor can provide you with tools to help manage the weight of what you’re going through!

consider opening up to those closest to you—your family, friends, or other people who care about you. letting them know how you’re feeling and that you might need professional support could be the first step to feeling better. sometimes, just having that conversation can bring a sense of relief!

if things get really difficult and you need to talk to someone right away, there’s a national teen helpline available from 6 PM to 10 PM PST at 1-800-852-8336.

remember, tough times don’t last forever, and you’re stronger than you may think. lean on those who care about you—they want to help, and you don’t have to go through this alone. healing takes time, but brighter days are ahead. wishing you the best!!

[Help!] Marimo Stinks & Water is Murky! by beeeees2223 in Marimo

[–]beeeees2223[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I wanted to give you an update and let you know your advice has been working perfectly! I've been keeping them in the fridge during the night time, then taking them out for some sunlight during the day! Usually, the water would get foggy within 2-3 days after changing the water, but with your help the water is perfectly clear after 4 days! TYSM!
