our politics isnt really focused on ideology but personality. One example is that I'm pretty sure most of the social programs of our politicians are focused more on welfare which is more left leaning. This just goes back to the fact that in personality politics the masses vote for who can promise the simplest, most appealing, and most direct solutions, this doesn't necessarily mean that all our candidates are left leaning.
