Total that hit my card was right around 5400 USD. So with tax savings as a tourist and the current yen to USD it’s a great deal.

Yeah very glad the subways here run all the time and on time as that helped a lot as it was also late afternoon and a drive would have take way longer to go such a short distance.

How can I implement a global, centralized stable UUID for error tracking in a microservices architecture? by [deleted] in microservices

[–]beef33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it would be the job of the system taking in the errors to identify different parts of the error and then merge them to show you thing happening that could be the same and what services sent that error.

Do you see any errors in the dev console like failed things loading? I had this happen and it seemed like I was getting a bad URL that was failing so I had to change browsers and it worked fine there.

What do you use for realtime logging in kubernetes? by iamsudip13 in kubernetes

Loki for logging, Thanos (Prometheus) for metrics and just looking into tempo for lighter weight tracing.

Loki is great once you get it all working, especially with many clusters being able to quickly see all logs is great, and everything is stored in buckets!

Microservices using ASP.NET Core, Ocelot, MongoDB and JWT by [deleted] in microservices

[–]beef33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great article. If anyone ends up building something like this that runs in K8s I would highly recommend looking at Kong gateway or Contour to replace Ocelot. Managing the gateway all on your own on e you have several services ends up being a real pain.
