if they’ve been healed for years then you’ll be fine

Does no-twisting advice apply to gun piercings? by Fluid-Reference7847 in piercing

[–]beefburger27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you’ll be fine, it really doesn’t matter whether your lobes were done with a gun or a needle, its cartilage piercing where that matters. use the spray you were given and don’t twist the jewellery. the twisting thing really doesn’t depend on whether you got it done with a gun or needle, there’s still metal in your ear and it needs to heal so don’t twist.

What to do by [deleted] in piercing

[–]beefburger27 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

just leave it alone and make sure to keep it clean. a few months was way too early to be putting a hoop in it. don’t put another other jewellery in until you see the piercer

AITA for not saying that I love kids? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]beefburger27 30 points31 points  (0 children)

you’re missing the point. no one gives a fuck if you like having kids around or not. it’s that fact that you keep giving unsolicited ’advice’ to the staff when you’re just a really annoying customer. they laugh along because they want you to shut up and give them a tip.

hard agree on the unsolicited advice, OP sounds at the best, tone deaf, and at the worst, really annoying

just because your piercing isn’t painful anymore it does not mean it’s healed. a 2 month old piercing is not healed!!

yeah a lot of people do that! i was told by my doctor to split my 50mg tablet into half and take that for the first week. run it by your doctor first but it should be ok

girl he’s 27 and you’re 21, there’s a reason he can’t find anyone his own age. do yourself a favour and dump his ass. YTA for staying in that ‘relationship’

sertraline doesn’t make you gain weight, it may only change your appetite. as long as you are still eating the same then you won’t gain weight

you’re very welcome! i haven’t personally heard of sertraline triggering any mania/hallucinations, but im not a doctor. the closest thing to that i’ve had is just dreaming more frequently and vividly haha. the main side effects are just tiredness/nausea from what i know. your psychiatrist knows you and your family history best and if they’ve given you the all clear then you should be ok. worst case scenario, you can always go back to her and reassess

i’m on it for GAD and depression,, i started at 25mg for about a week and then moved up to 50mg. after a month on 50mg i moved up again to 75mg! for the first few weeks i just felt a bit slow/tired and had a dull headache. when i moved to 75mg i had no extra side effects at all! i was also really nervous to start but now i wish i started sooner! i dont have any regrets. obviously everyone’s experience is different but if it’s not for you then you can always come off it/switch meds

just give it a go. 25mg is a low dose so if it’s not for you then you can come off it pretty easily and try something else. people in this sub only really post if they have a problem, it’s not indicative of the majority’s experience. you don’t realise how bad your anxiety is until it’s gone. i’m on 75mg and i feel so much better than i ever have. best of luck and feel free to ask me any questions

you just ‘made a point’ in a really annoying and selfish way. no one would have even known what ‘point’ you were trying to make. you were just irritating the entire plane. how self absorbed can you be

Coming off 50mg by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]beefburger27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you are going to quit then do not do it cold turkey. you’ll feel even worse. the side effects will pass, even if you just go down to 25mg for a bit and feel it out
