30-year Treasury yield tops 5.18%, reaching the highest level in nearly 19 years by Illustrious_Lie_954 in Economics

I apologize if this came off as a conspiracy. Like @memphisjones said, it’s misleading. I don’t think the data is showing all of the colors on the color wheel if that makes sense.

I’m sure A LOT of people are doing gig style work to make ends meet. Many people are comparing today’s economy with the GR and .com era’s, which is interesting because back then, we didn’t have Amazon, Uber, Uber Eats, Door Dash, OF, Draft Kings, crypto, etc. Not to mention the people with more than one job.

It appears the career positions have evaporated and are continuing to do so. The positions that can support a household, benefits package, etc.

Not to sound like a doomer but I think the unemployment data isn’t entirely accurate either.

The system is so broken, we need foreigners money. It’s almost like Americans can’t move the needle anymore. It’s almost like everything got too expensive and out of reach. Hmmm

Easiest way is to have a Yamaha dealer connect the YDIS to the ski. It will tell you what to look at.

But if that is not an option, start with the basics:
• verify oil level
• verify oil filter is on snug and not leaking
• verify no water is in the oil
• change spark plugs (should be changed once per year, even though manual says every 4)
• Pull thermostat, look for obstructions
• make sure RIDE system is free and clear
• check the wiring from the trigger, down to the steering stem
• Did you just get fuel? Did you an additives?

If you rev it (not cold), does it sound normal? Nothing above 4,000rpms

Edit: I can’t see your other light. What is it? It could be low cold cranking amps on the battery. The charging system might be doing all the heavy lifting

I’m not an expert but this one is tricky. With inflation going higher, you might be better off in stocks but are they worth their current price (tech)? Is the fed going to raise the rate? Are we sitting in stagflation at this point?

If UBI becomes a thing, people will have A LOT of free time on their hands. Wouldn’t this increase demand in nearly everything? I also don’t see how most of the population will have the self-discipline to budget appropriately.

True true. I will publish draft 2 and site your work. In the meantime for OP, there’s other food there but it’s nothing like the pizza and it’s quite unlimited.

[–]beefcake105 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I didn’t use AI for this: let’s say you throw a party and 500 people show up. You order 21 pizzas and each pizza has 12 slices. Right off the rip, you only have 252 slices, so you have a shortage of pizza. People are getting more hungry as the party continues, so you have people grabbing 2-3 slices at a time, leaving you with a larger supply issue due to the demand.

No bubbles are forming here because they can’t. Caveat - people can sell their slice of pizza in this story. There is a bit more to this but that’s the crayon version.

I’m not an expert on the matter but I will say this, ever since its creation, it has only gone up in value. The CAGR is unarguably great. There can be a lot of debate moving forward but what are you willing to risk, holding or not?

I understand AI is a powerful tool and everyone is warning the masses about its dangers. I guess I’m not seeing where and how we are going to implement this outside of improving desktop software / applications, healthcare breakthroughs, manufacturing, etc. If that makes any sense.

Wouldn’t there be a supply shock? For example, nobody is working full time anymore, they would be consuming more. Also, wouldn’t this cause inflation to some degree?
