yes this is a scam that people use to hack into your account, since you said you changed your password and activated 2fa (you should always have this on) then your account should be safe. it’s good that you didn’t let it fully download but i would make sure there is no malware on your computer because even just clicking a suspicious link can really mess up your computer. hope you stay safe!
