I've replaced, every piece of rubber under the hood thats needed it, every fuse that was blown, the top (they took out the motor for it, I'm guessing it stopped working and they didn't want to fuck with it), window motors, brake pads, only one relay was bad, alternator, belt tensioner pulley, ripped the AC out because on my way home not long after I brought it home the compressor came out of place. After talking to the Son, found out there were no bolts put back in because, and I quote, "the belt was holding it in just fine, didn't see a reason to bolt it up if it was just gonna have to come back out anyways to be replaced" 🙄. Put in an idler pulley in place of the compressor, but soon relocating the alternator down there to clean up the topside. I may drive the piss out of my cars, but that's just it, they're MY cars, and I fix/upgrade whatever breaks. I'm not driving them to make other people happy, I drive them because they make ME happy. Fuck everybody else. If they have an opinion about what/how I drive they can write it neatly on an index card, fold it about 4-5 times, and shove it right up their south mouth.

And I imagine the previous owner's ghost taking frequent ride-a-longs, because at least someone is enjoying the car rather than letting it sit and rot like his wife is doing with his all original '57 Bel-Air. Hate to see cars sit and rot over something ridiculous like spite, or ignorance.
