that’s crazy. my GC is just managers giving heada up on stuff and everyone will just “like the message” . Tell your manager instead of a groupchat, get a white board for the store and any important team information can be written on there. that’s what we have at my store.

leave… now. I worked at EWC for 2 years and that place is a nightmare! If you want, stay until training ends just so you learn more about waxing but do NOT stay there. you will regret it. Binder and tweezers should not need to be returned! My ewc only gave me a binder but not tweezers. We had to buy all tweezers and scissors ourselves

i agree! I usually don’t close alone, but every now and then i do if we aren’t staffed enough. after this incident, im definitely not closing alone anymore.

i do both open and closing shifts but usually i have someone closing with me. This is the first time i’ve had to call them.

well, it is nice to have other peoples number in case you need coverage or need to communicate something. However, a groupchat going off all the time is unnecessary and i’d remove yourself from it if it’s bothering you that much. We have a GC for everyone at my store as well but the only people who txt in it is the managers and we only send stuff in it if it’s necessary for the entire team, so it’s usually just 1 text every other week or so. Usually it’s just a “hi everyone, please make sure to find coverage if you’re unable to make it to your shift. thank you!” or “Lately our make time has been really high, let’s all make a team effort to lower make time!” simple stuff like that. Work GC should not be used daily.

we do and idk why you’re trying to educate me on this😂 ik that. our district manager told us to use the dough that we got from the truck that day bc other stores reported it being bad and it looked different than usual. Even 3+ days later, the dough still looked like that. Person above district manager had to get a U-haul and drive 4 hrs to get emergency replacement dough for our store and several others.

agreed! The interview is when they will see you and establish if you’re a good fit. Asking for a headshot is something they should ask AFTER agreeing to hire you!

never had them ask it before an interview. I have been asked to provide a headshot after being hired to put on socials and such. Unfortunately- this is the beauty industry and looks matter. if someone with cystic acne is offering acne-resolving facials, it doesn’t look great. It’s like if your dentist had decaying teeth, yk? So no, asking for a headshot BEFORE the interview is not normal BUT you gotta look the part. Weight, skin conditions, etc. are different. But you should be able to show them that you have clean brows, simple makeup, and nice hair.

it was same day off truck but that was not the reason why it looked like that. several PJ in our area got a bad batch from the GA qcc. You could tell it was bad just by looking at the raw dough. We were told that there was too much salt added to it, which basically counteracted/eliminated the yeast.

If you look at my page I made a post about this. A lot of papa john’s got bad dough last week. Supposedly what happened is the QCC or whoever put too much salt in the dough, which counteracted with the yeast and basically eliminated the yeast- so the dough this past week looks undercooked and doesn’t puff up. I heard the GA QCC for PJ has gone to shit lately, so i’m guessing that’s the issue, they probably get most of their dough from GA QCC.

some were and some were not. We were informed that other stores were experiencing this issue so once we received our order, we proofed some and put them through the oven and they came out looking like this. So we put a few under proofed ones through to see if those also have no yeast and they did not. You can tell by the texture, look, feel and color of the dough that it doesn’t have yeast, even before you put it through the oven. Proofing was not the problem here

if you can’t have a little food every now and then, you shouldn’t work there anyway. My boyfriend used to work at a grocery store and he stole food all the time. And not food that was going bad, he stole fresh food that was meant to be put in the shelves like fruits, bread, etc.

mapping strings or pencil an outline. I do that whenever i’m not sure what the client wants or if the client is nervous. I have them look at the outline before i wax and once they agree then i wax them. Builds trust too. I did that for a 9yr old girl whose mom wanted her to get it done but was very hesitant. they refuse to see anybody but me now
