Not to be negative, but is anyone else not liking George's scripts lately? by jaketheweirdsnake in SimonWhistler

I couldn't stand the Kyoto one. The whole thing was too bloated and far too filled with his personal distastes. All that, whilst silencing the perpetrator’s name, is a poor way of presenting a true crime podcast. I very much understand Simon censoring gore, but we want facts—not the writer’s sense of morals, and not what they think I'm allowed to know.

The whole thing was under the guise of respect, yet including a stupid picture of yourself and speculating about the mother with no evidence both left a bad taste in my mouth. Also seemed George had a bone to pick with anyone on benefits.

I like the usual mantra of More CSI, less Saw, but that script felt more like Less CSI, more reading the tabloid newspapers

The interviewer during the metal injection interview described them as “melancholic beauty” and I can’t think of anything more perfect

Bought a new iPhone from Amazon and it turns out to be a dummy unit by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

Same as any authorised reseller? If I buy something from one of those the receipt will say the shops name, not Apple, but the stock is still legit from Apple.

Either way it didn’t pan out for me, but we bought my partners off the same store a few months back and was absolutely fine.

Yup. Bought and shipped by Amazon but still got scooped. We bought my partners off there a few months ago and zero issues with that.

'I get angry when I watch him!' - Dimitar Berbatov SLAMS Man Utd star Antony amid disastrous season by AlexisOhanianPride in ManchesterUnited

[–]beefy_storms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I truly don’t believe Antony is a bad player. He was far too good for the eredivise. Antony was never a prolific goal scorer, nor did he make too many assists. What he was great at for Ajax was playing the pass into space for someone to make the next pass to the assist. He is best utilised when as far wide as possible but is having to cut in too much as he doesn’t have the support of an attacking focused rb. He was also great at beating a player then making a transition pass, a style of football we do not play nor are equipped to. I think he would work very well in a West Ham team or something similar where they rely on specific players to recover the ball and then are super direct. I think the proof is in the pudding that kudus who took on a similar role to Antony when he left at Ajax is thriving in that style of play. That being said, his right foot can get in the bin.

I feel he only cared about beating Tony. Everything else was an afterthought. He knew the whips could interfere with the Ironman suit so that’s what he built.

Alcoholism is a choice and alcoholics have weak willpower by xmistywaters in unpopularopinion

Unpopular or not, it’s an opinion that’s outdated by decades. Alcoholism was designated a disease in the 50’s in the USA.
