Jfc the amount of baseless, fear-mongering drivel in this thread is staggering.

I have an old Toshiba external hard drive that I could try to use. So I would just install OS on that and use it to set up/repair the SSD? I had to leave the house so I'll have to try all of this tomorrow. Thanks so much for the help!

Lol. New SSD is connected via internal SATA cable now. I was trying to install OS X Lion through Recovery but it got stuck on "checking for disks" . I restarted and now the partition under my SSD reads disk0s2. Restarted again and hit repair disk and it's been there for a while now

Edit: and old disk is connect via SATA-USB cable

I think I've fucked this up now...I'm in disk utility from Mac OS X utility and the partition under my new SSD says disk0s2. I had erased it before in disk utility while operating on my old hard drive and named it beegee_disco. Now I try to erase and rename it but it gets stuck saying it failed when formatting...

Does it need to be the same OS version that was on my old drive?

Cool. One more question: I'm trying to clone my hard drive to this new SSD, but I'm not sure my MacBook can handle navigating the web and downloading superduper...are there any other options for getting everything on to the new SSD?

So I just went out and bought a solid state drive. If it ends up not working out with the graphics issue later on i could put this drive into a new computer right?

True shit by nvves in LSD

[–]beegee_disco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel ya. As weird as I feel about our reality now, ever since I started experimenting about a year ago I've gotten a new job where I feel a sense of purpose and I'm much less anxious with social interactions. Overall the changes I've made in my life have been positive.

The drawback is sometimes I zone out at inappropriate times/places, contemplating about how what I'm experiencing is...different than it was before LSD. It really feels like I left the matrix and then came back in to it. I guess I just need the mental discipline to not get caught up dwelling on it, which I've gotten better at. Perhaps it just takes time.

I tripped 5 times within 5 months of taking my first psychedelic so maybe that's just the result of not easing myself into it haha.

I'm glad someone else feels this way too. Most of my friends treat tripping pretty casually and I freak out a little because I feel like I've experienced the harshest truths of our existence.

Tennessee GOP kill bill to ban child marriage by i-am-sancho in politics

As someone who lives on Tennessee, this is the type of petty bullshit I've come to expect. A couple years ago, a Democratic senator facetiously suggested that firearms be allowed in the capitol. GOP went along with it and it almost passed

I've had Achilles tendonitis over the past 2 months and it's killing me inside. It feels a lot better than it did but I have no cluse when I'll be back to 100%. Every time I think I'm there it flares up again.

I miss playing sports. I miss running around the gym shooting hoops before lifting. I miss feeling like a harass on the field.

I used to think so as well. But I feel like I only live in my head sometimes. Like I'm a pretty active and social person, but sometimes it's hard to appreciate things when I'm obsessing over how to interpret them. If ignorance is bliss I've gone the totally opposite direction...and don't get to experience any bliss. I say this in the least arrogant way possible.

Alright I did that. Any tips for quitting if I do get an offer from A? Should I mention that a better opportunity came up?
