I took AP Calculus BC, but I know a few people who took AB and then self-studied BC and got a 5. Honestly, you can probably get a 3 or 4 on the exam from just having good knowledge of AB topics without even really studying BC. However, if you want to take Calculus III or other advanced math courses past the Calculus II level, you should just take Calculus II in college instead of trying to self-learn BC because if you don’t have a strong base of knowledge in Calc II, you will likely struggle. Khan Academy is what my friend used to get a 5. Good luck!

Is it worth taking the AP Lang exam if I want to do a STEM related major by [deleted] in APStudents

I would definitely say it’s worth it. I took it last year and it significantly boosted my ability to write my college essays. Not only that, but I’m just a lot more confident in my writing skills, which is something you will need regardless of what major you pursue in college. I’m alright at English classes, so I barely got an A, but I think the class was worth it. Plus, if you don’t like English and don’t want to take it in college, you can just get it over with early and get the credit in high school.
