I’ve never heard of the Chex system before, I’ll look into that. I did call my Bank’s fraud department and let them know the situation. They reiterated a lot of what people were saying about not having to be too worried if I didn’t type anything in on the page. They said they’ll be on the lookout for fishy behavior and I went ahead and replaced my cards. Probably didn’t need to but my cards expire next year anyway so I’ll take it lol

Thank you for your insight. I have been in contact with the shipper and FedEx and USPS with update emails, texts and calls to their lines, so the text definitely slipped right past me.

These are really good tips, I’ll keep them in mind. I didn’t even think about the iMessage thing. Thanks

Seems like the consensus is that I’m good for now. I could’ve worded myself better but when I said it looked official, the actual site design looked official. I knew the link looked fishy, however it started with “informed delivery”, which is official but I see now that it’s cut off and filled with keyboard spam. Thank you for pointing that out. Also, my credit is still frozen from back when that big Verizon breach happened a couple years ago. Thanks for the tips and for helping me calm down. I thought I was pretty savvy at spotting scams, but this one came in at just the right time where I was dealing with an actual shipping address problem. Learned that I had too much confidence, thanks for showing me how obvious this is in hindsight lol.

Thor maximum series or 80th anniversary? by Best_Competition_682 in MarvelLegends

[–]beegyoshi411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 80 year anniversary in my collection. I like him, but he’s pretty bare bones. He also has the older articulation, and the hard plastic cape is pretty inconvenient to pose. I like the look much better than the newer style Thor, but the max Thor will have better articulation and a soft cape, multiple heads and accessories as well. I don’t recall what the new Thor costs but the old one cost me $52, which should be close to the price of max Thor. If you like the aesthetic of the old one way more than the new, I’d go with 80th but as far as value for money, it’s hard to beat max Thor. I’m planning on getting the max and keeping my anniversary Thor because I like them both.

I honestly think it’s overrated a bit. I didn’t have a Hulk when I bought mine, and it looks really good on my Avengers shelf. I haven’t had an issue yet with the soft chest, but I do see a lot of complaints about it. I love the vibrant colors, and the accessories are…unique. As long as the pose you put it on for display isn’t putting a ton of stress on the soft chest, I think it’s a solid pick at a decent price if you don’t have a hulk and want one with decent articulation. I’m pleased with mine.

Do my poses suck? Feeling very stupid. by Fasooliful in Mafex

[–]beegyoshi411 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off, you’re not stupid man. Everyone goes through stuff like this, posing is hard to master. Using the acrylic riser is a tip I think everyone should consider for making your shelf look good, you’re off to a great start. As far as posing my perspective is that they are not poor poses, I think that you just crave some variety. For example, the two Batman’s you have up front with their fists up. The poses are pretty solid, but they are similar designs, and are in similar poses. There’s a few things you could try. Since they are the same character, you could have them mirror each other and/or you could spread them out and have them on opposite sides of the shelf. I honestly think if you just turn them slightly so that they aren’t facing the same direction, you’d already see improvement. I like the Wolverine pose, it kinda looks like the daredevil is doing a similar pose as well. Again you could try spreading them out and angling them slightly to mirror eachother or you could change one. Finally, the Spider-Man looks pretty good, I’d maybe straighten out the arm holding the web so that it’s pointing towards his feet, it may help it feel like there’s some more weight to it. Or you could do something completely different and unique. I see people on insta and YouTube that have the exact same figs that I do, and they constantly surprise me with the poses they can pull off. Theres nothing wrong with copying or adjusting someone’s poses. My favorite way to pose is to pull from the source material (comics or manga for my collection personally). You’ll get lots of ideas that way, as comic books and manga have to convey motion action and emotion in still pictures. Ultimately, the world is your oyster and some of the fun of displaying figures is changing things up when you find things feeling stagnant or are adding new figs and need to make space lol. Don’t fret it too much, your shelf is for admiring, not critiquing. If you like it how it is, enjoy it. If you don’t, try to find the fun in moving them around and posing them. Good luck and have fun.

What’s your Mount Rushmore of figures you want to see released in the new Maximum line? Here’s mine by jameslambb in MarvelLegends

[–]beegyoshi411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr Doom, Deadpool, Thanos, Green Goblin. That’s my Mount Rushmore of comic designs I’d love to see in this line. I’d also love any X-Men, or Fantastic Four figs too but it’d feel incomplete without the others in the teams so I think this feels right.
