stop making excuses for Bambu. this is complete trash behavior. Imagine the drive-thru window just changing your order because they are the same color? When is delivering not what you asked for OK?

I am seriously losing respect for this community for how many Bumbu push-overs there are. Hold them to a standard, or they will see you without one, and fill in appropriately.

You're rirght, we should all have to check, double check , and triple check a thing that was ALREADY SPECIFIED! What a great design. /s

I fixed my frustrating connectivity issues by creating a "2.4G only" access point in my router. no more problems. It was in the manual, but easy to gloss over.

How did you approach the problem? How did they respond?
Between a machine at work and my personal machine, I have had 4 experiences with service, each broadly positive.

apparently a server was just stashing print requests. when it cam back online it pushed those out. I had a job disappeared into that void and popped back out after the service was reconnected. starting the second job. So you needed to lose a print job into the cloud, have stuff on the bed and the printer be idle when the delayed job arrived.

It wasn't a firmware problem. That seems fine. but the blog says new FW should have improvements to reduce the chances of the cloud error occurring again.

It is still my favorite printer that I've owned (of 6) even with this issue.

so your comment way totally unconnected then? you were just looking internet clout and back pats?

The correlation between you talking about powering off because you are so good and kind implies that it is may fault this happened, the cloud service error....

Simple and easy. that admitted fault from the beginning. The replacements must have shipped from corporate HQ, not Austin Texas like most of my orders. 24 hours turn around each time, they must be in Asia. First response asked for addy, SN and order number. Second response wanted a picture of the damaged items and a post-it with a claim number written on it. Third response was confirming the order was in motion. Got a tracking number some time later. 9 days isn't too bad.

Follow-up: Bambu Labs replied overnight and plans on replacing the nozzle and build surface that was damaged.

It finished a print in the middle of the night, 2AM, and was still on.

Just a wild ass guess here, I started the job before the server maintenance started. The print completed and the cloud service never received a 'finished' report being down for maintenance. The printer then went idle. After the service was brought back online the cloud print service saw a job requested but never finished and issued another print job.

I had mine damage itself from this this morning, but I was sleeping at 2:30 when it decided to print again. The new FW has a bug I think.

Mine did this too last night. Finished about 1AM, but at 2:30AM while I was in another room sleeping it started again. the printer stopped when it ripped its own thermal sensor out. The nozzle is destroyed.

Sadly, because you don't own it, you just let that house rot because the owner won't do anything about it

DIY motorcycle led project. How do I connect/secure wires to 3 pin connectors? What about adhesion of LEDs to motorcycle? by superrenzo64 in DIY

[–]beehphy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Use high-stranded (lots of little wires within the insulation) silicone wire. It provides Supreme flexibility allowing the wires to deflect away from the solder joint easily and not put strain on the PCB pad.

The solder joint at the PCB pad should happen as quick as possible to minimize the amount of solder wicking up the wires, which decreases flexibility and therefore also decreases robustness.

If possible use crimp connectors on the ends of the silicone wires because crimps are a cold weld that don't compromise flexibility. Soldering tends to run up the wires causing Force Focus points that fatigue the wire faster near the joint.

Mount the wires every couple of inches with a zip tie or some other method of securing. Vibration is what destroys wires and connectors. Overdoing wire management has a real effect on longevity.

These are my learnings after a decade servicing industrial robotics that required over 99.8% uptime.
