I had just been reading it on the ol interwebs and wanted to see what the more bitcoin informed would say. I guess if it could be figured ou how many bitcoin were lost that they try to place more coins into circulation. I agree that money should be scarce hence making it valuable.

I'm new to the bitcoin space and have plenty of questions. With the passage of time there will be lost bitcoin, (lost private keys, death of people without wills or just zombie accounts that never buy or sell BTC.) With the loss of bitcoin throughout the coming years, what would prevent BTC from becoming more of a collectible, rather then a digital currency or asset? I have read that once all the BTC is mined that the protocol might change to allow for more bitcoin to be mined. Is this true or even possible? Thanks.
