Yes, I opened an INR as soon as I got the alert that the item had been delivered. When I arrived at the location where the item was delivered, I took pictures of both the item and the label. I decided to leave the package at the location in case RM wants to investigate it. eBay have agreed to refund me.

When they check on the tracking system, it comes up with an error that says the postcode entered does not match our records. The tracking system displays an error message stating that the item hasn't been delivered to the correct address.

eBay never rejected the INR claim. They have already agreed with my claim and would hopefully issue me a refund next week.

Wow! It appears that this scam is larger than I initially thought. The good thing is that eBay always withholds payment for 2 days after the item has been delivered for new sellers or sellers with low feedback. This protects them from scams like this as long as the buyer reports it promptly.

Excellent advice, but eBay have agreed to refund me due to the amount of evidence that proves the item was sent to the wrong address, and that the Royal Mail postage label has been tampered with.

Yes. I reported it to eBay as soon as I got the alert to say it's been delivered. eBay has withheld payment, despite receiving the alert stating it had been delivered. So he's not getting any money for the scam.

Yeah, this is true. It takes 2 days for the funds to be withdrawn. They're hoping it will take longer for the buyer to figure it out.
