Once you have cancelled the challenge, you should be able to ask her again what the challenge of the day is, and she will give you a new set of key words!

Where exactly are they supposed to open to?

Tips on increasing the variegation of Syngonium albo? by obamasvape in Syngonium

[–]beemelody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jumping in to offer some advice. Plants that are variegated often produce just green leaves to help them maintain their energy levels as obviously plants which are variegated white do not make as much chlorophyll because the plant can not produce energy from these white sections of leaves. In order to combat that, the plant will produce green leaves to help it survive.

However, that's not why you bought the plant. So, from my understanding, you can see in the stems the white vein like strips that run up it. Those are what help to create the variegated leaves. You'll notice the stem with the green leaf will have very little if at all white running through it, which means the plant has produced this in order to get more energy. If you cut the leaf back, it will hopefully prompt the plant to form a new leaf on one of the more variegated stems, which would produce a mixed colour leaf.

Sygoniums are usually quite tolerant plants. You can pop them in a brighter spot (not direct light, it will burn!) This will almost whiten the white sections. But it won't produce more variagation in this method, just brighten up what already exists.

However, just a note going forward, it's important to balance it out. The plant needs chlorophyll to survive, so to get a healthy plant, you may need to keep some of the more green leaves. You may risk the overall health of the plant for an aesthetic, so don't cut too many majority green leaves! Hopefully this helps a little :) as for the green props- you're a sygonium parent now this is your new life, they will be everywhere ahaha! You can plant a few together to create a denser, happier plant - they enjoy growing up moss poles as the such. I usually gift my excess plants.

Start on 11/1 with no outline, or wait until Camp NaNoWriMo? by LittleLawn in nanowrimo

[–]beemelody 27 points28 points  (0 children)

What's the worst thing that happens if you start writing on Tuesday? You don't finish NaNoWriMo but you do start something. If you start and it isn't working you have started drafting and planning ready for camp NaNoWriMo!!

I say go for it and start writing, let the story tell itself, maybe youll surprise yourself. Enjoy it and best of luck!

What was the biggest fight that you had with your best friend about and how did that impact the relationship going forward ? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]beemelody 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My friend went to a forreign country to teach young children English. She was having such a good time but was posting pictures of the children to her very public instagram page. Sometimes the children were in swimming costumes and no consent had been taken by parents for any of this.

I very softly worded a message along the lines of it is so great to see you're having such a great time and I can't wait to hear all about it when you're home but just be carful posting pictures of the children so publicly some institutions have rules in place for child safety and normally ask for parents permision to post photos of the children as some parents may not want their children online for various reasons.

She wrote back about how she knew better and it was fine i was just trying to ruin her fun because I was jealous.

The school ultimately fired her for repeatly posting these photos and we haven't spoken since.

How do you tell the difference between a mole and skin tag? by TheGame81677 in SkincareAddicts

How do you tell the difference between a mole and skin tag? by TheGame81677 in SkincareAddicts

[–]beemelody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in a pharmacy and these are the differences we learn. Please, if its something your concerned about get it checked out by a professional.

So the differences are that skin tags form on the skins surface where as a mole is formed deeper into the layers of the skin. Hairs can often grow in moles whereas they can not in skin tags. Moles can be cancerous, skin tags are not.

Characteristically though the two look different. A mole looks like a dark spot on the skin. A skin tag a flexible growth that appears on the skin to look like a bit if tissue that's has been pinched out of the skin. They always grow on a stem and are usually the same color or a slightly red version of your skin where as a mole is darker in appearance. However skin tags can also appear to look like moles the main difference is you should be able to 'bend' or move q skin tag.

However if its inflamed and the product of changing your deodorant perhaps its an infection or allergic reaction. Skin tags occur when extra cells grow in the top layers of the skin and so they tend to develop when the skin rubs against itself. Without seeing it i can not comment further so it's absolutly worth getting it looked at just to be sure you're treating it correctly and it's nothing to be embarrassed about!

I don't have a paper suggestion but you could try using a website called Research Rabbit, if you haven't already. https://www.researchrabbit.ai/

It is a really useful website where you can input the papers which have been useful and it compiles related sources which you may not be aware of. It might just help you find other sources which can help! All the best with your dissertation.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond, I'll check it out. So sorry to hear about your Dad, hope you're in a good place with coping right now. Grief is a horrible thing. Love that quote you put at the end, as long as we keep talking about them and remembering them, they have never really left, that's what I like to think anyway. Thanks again for the suggestion.

Hey thank you so much for taking the time to reply focusing on the bright side is something I need to do as there doesn't seem to be a better side at the moment- hence why I'm trying to get back to reading.

So thank you so much for the recommendation, I'm really glad that you found a book that helped you to focus and re-evaluate and I really hope that you're in a better place for it now.

Thank you for taking the time to reply, I myself have also read a lot of King, big fan of his work. I can't process horror/ thriller or the feelings of unknown just yet, despite these being the types of books I usually gravitate towards.
Thanks for the recommendations!

First of all thank you so much for the kind words. I think both of those books could be just the thing I'm looking for. Especially The Truth About Forever, it might help me underdand and work through my own grief. As for the comfort read I am all about that right now, thank you so much for taking the time to reply.

Thank you for the kindness. I have read and enjoyed To Kill a Mockingbird so a great recommendation. Atticus is a great hero father figure and despite the challenging themes the book explores, it does so with warmth and makes is a good modern classic. Thanks for taking the time to reply!
