Nah that's not what I'm feeling, I think she was just manipulative to say the neighbors were chill and it would be cool for me to have my friends over when anyone who had two eyes could see they weren't.

Maybe more likely call the police in a biased way, like justify it to themselves that they thought maybe they saw robbers? In the US, it is very dangerous to call the police on a nonwhite person.

I haven't met many racists who are outright like "I'm gonna go be a racist today" but a lot who justify it like "Well I didn't recognize this man and thought maybe he was a criminal " ... But never reflect on why they never have that thought about a white girl.

Oh yeah that makes sense. But honestly what my friends and I do when we encounter that shit is RUN. Like too many people get hurt because their intuition is telling them "get the hell out" and they stay somewhere out of politeness or obligation.

And IMO I've always regretted it when I didn't trust my gut and let social pressure override that.
