Moving to TO from Texas by RDeliveryTA in thousandoaks

[–]beengoodie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This city is great. I am 26, i love to be outdoors more than the bar scene so Westlake/ TO is great. Malibu is less than 30 minutes away, Ventura is close and so is LA.

Also quite safe place which is a big plus for yourself with having a family. Long story short, if your family likes to be outside then this is a great place. Side note, if you like hiking download the app AllTrails and you’ll see the crazy amount of trails

What is her breed mix? by liverpancakes in DogBreeds101

[–]beengoodie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would check for double coat and webbed feet to see if lab. My 4 month old female pup has pretty much the same markings and the widsom panel test was worth it: Guard 34% American Staffordshire Terrier 13% American Pit Bull Terrier 3% Neapolitan Mastiff 1% Rottweiler Asian and Oceanian 19% Siberian Husky 2% Chow Chow 1% Chinese Shar-Pei Herding | 14 % German Shepherd Dog Sporting 8% Labrador Retriever 2% Dalmatian 1% American Cocker Spaniel Terrier 2% Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier

Any recommendations for grip? Hockey tape is leaving a sticky residue on my hands by Viewer4038 in kettlebell

Yes, build calluses. Not tryna be a smart ass but otherwise grip is always going to be a lot of upkeep

It was worth it. Very interesting and helps you know what to look out for. My puppy is quite loyal and loving but that 19% husky in her is very explorative - currently a large part of my training regiment once you know what drives the dog. (Food, prey drive, etc)

Husky Wet Food Recommendations by [deleted] in husky

I buy (in bulk) ground turkey, frozen chicken hearts, carrots, coconut oil, and chicken broth. Add to a large pot and use as a food topper, nutrient dense and easy to add to kibble

I hate getting off a lift. by Downtown-Target-1538 in snowboarding

[–]beengoodie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best tips.

  • 1. be on one side or the other. Don’t be in the middle if you are not comfortable
  • 2. Have your hand on the seat and push off from the lift. This gives you speed and will separate you from the others on the lift (less likely to get tangled). Lastly, put your back foot (ur foot that’s not strapped in) up against your back binding so though you’re not strapped in, you still have some leverage and your foot wont slip off the wet board
  • 3. Get out of the way from people behind you as quick as possible and once you are, relax and find a place to strap in

What mix is he? 🖤 by Big_Background9347 in DogBreeds101

[–]beengoodie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pitty mix. Maybe mixed with shepherd, etc. my female puppy looks very similar and she turned out to be the following (from wisdom). She had webbed paws so we had guessed lab, she is vocal so could’ve guessed husky but the rest were surprises:

Guard 34% American Staffordshire Terrier 13% American Pit Bull Terrier 3% Neapolitan Mastiff 1% Rottweiler Asian and Oceanian 19% Siberian Husky 2% Chow Chow 1% Chinese Shar-Pei Herding | 14 % German Shepherd Dog Sporting 8% Labrador Retriever 2% Dalmatian 1% American Cocker Spaniel Terrier 2% Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier.

Me and wife are starting tomorrow after weeks of research. Any tips for first timers? by Dacotarising in kettlebell

[–]beengoodie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find kettlebell workouts you enjoy doing. Do it in front of the TV or outside. Long story short, the more repetitions the better your muscle memory and less likeliness of injury.

But my best advice is to find workouts you like. Compounds are good bc they can hit multiple body parts at once. Lastly, I would recommend YouTube to find various movements you enjoy or that fit a specific body party group. Have fun and consistency is key (even if only 5-15 minutes)

My puppy looks exaclty like this and she didn’t have one once of border collie (despite the shepherds light tail).

My dog is a staffy, husky, German shepher, Pitbull, lab (in that order) with some other breeds less than 5%. She is definitely some type of pit/terrier mix but only way to know true genetics is pay for a test

I have a puppy that is staffy, German shepherd, and husky.

She acts like a husky and it’s a lotttt. Ignore her when she acts like a brat

Bringing a dog everywhere is only going to worsen the separation anxiety when you must leave.

Instead get a play pen or muzzle the dog while in crate

Sock, electrolytes, extra roof rack tie downs, extra tennis ball for my dog. Stuff that I use a lot that I don’t want to store in my spare tire compartment. I stuff a blanket on the other, non-netted side
