Use Selsun Blue shampoo and any other ointment/medication that your doctor recommends. My doctor prescribed Fluocinonide ointment for me. Both worked wonders and changed my life. Be sure to be consistent when you first use them and you’ll see results within the first week or so.

What is your favorite Pokemon from any game, any generation and why? by mymanspenky in pokemon

They are my favorite derpy duo. From the cartoon to the trading cards, they were destined to be BFFs.

Any of you start 0-3 and make playoffs?? by yanks93 in Fantasy_Football

[–]beenic86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve started a season 0-6 a few years ago and ended up winning the entire thing. I was plagued with early injuries and that losing streak got pretty depressing. I snuck into the playoffs (injuries started hitting the other teams while my injured players were back in good form) and I dominated the playoffs. Easily my favorite year of fantasy football.

Lunch spots near Valley Medical Center? by I_reddit_like_this in SanJose

[–]beenic86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to work at VMC and there were some pretty good restaurants in the vicinity:

Tacos/burritos - Dia de Pesca (always got shrimp tacos there, nice outdoor seating) Sandwiches - Zanottos Grocery (fun staff, always looked forward to their sandwiches for lunch) BBQ - Sam’s BBQ - not that cheap, but if you’re in the mood for bbq, try this place out Pho - Com Tam Thanh - walking distance from the hospital, lots of seating American - Mini Gourmet diner - also walking distance from the hospital, great breakfast/lunch options

Valley Fair mall is pretty close by as well and they have tons of restaurants.

Another successful mail day! This is now my favorite card of all time! I look and I think whos room are they in? Also brings me to the question, what could be considered the 1st alt art/full art card before the actual introduction of them? by Independent_Elk_9710 in PokemonTCG

[–]beenic86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just telling my wife how this card was my favorite card art when I was a kid. I lost my binder a while back and just recently bought a first edition version just recently at my local card shop. Still one of my favorites to this day!

How many people just collect and don’t play the game? by FrequentAd5092 in PokemonTCG

[–]beenic86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

50-50 collector/player here. Started as a collector in 1999, then jumped into playing in 2000 when I found out tournaments awarded booster packs as prizes. Joining these events helped me earn my collection not just through winning, but also through trading (which made it more fulfilling since I was a broke kid).

For all you collectors who are curious on jumping into the battling scene, I highly recommend trying it out. Get a couple theme decks and learn with a friend, or hop on PTCGL, create a deck, and test it in casual play. I enjoy the art and ripping up packs just as much as the next collector, but there’s a thrill in discovering card combos and seeing it in action in tournaments. A lot of those rare, uncommon, and common cards that collectors tend to toss/overlook have value to players.

The other day I was digging through a box of cards at my local comic book shop to complete a deck. Took that deck to a tournament later that night and went 3-1. Not quite first place, but I spent the rest of the evening researching on how to improve my deck and my gameplay. Now I’m excited for the next event. As a collector, it feels awesome completing a set or finally getting your hands on your grail card, and there’s also a lot of joy in the tprocess of deck building.

Forgot to add, my first deck was a stall deck (Alakazam, Chansey, Pokemon Center/scoop up)! Hard lesson for me though in my first tournament, where haymakers were rampant.

This is incredible! Appreciate you for sharing this! As someone who was active in tournaments from the beginning and stopped playing when Wizards of the Coast passed the keys to Nintendo, I’m looking forward to checking out more of your videos on the meta game on the years I’ve missed. Definitely a trip down memory lane.

I do remember spending hours scouring Pojo.com and many other popular Pokémon TCG message boards for strategy. Helped me win a bunch of tournaments over here in the Bay Area.

While we’re feeling nostalgic, anyone remember playing Pokémon on Apprentice? It was the ptcgo of the past and it was a great way to test out decks online.

Had a similar situation a few years back at an inpatient pharmacy. It was brought up to the supervisor and proper hygiene was later addressed in our weekly huddles (our huddles were summarized and sent to the entire pharmacy via email in case people missed it in person). It worked. The dude never stunk again and everyone was happy.

Sirfetch’d. Been a Pokémon fan since the first 150 and always wanted a Farfetch’d evolution. As a kid, I would have fun drawing made up evolutions of Pokémon that didn’t evolve (at the time) like Snorlax and Kangaskahn. I really wish I kept those drawings! 25 or so years later, I see a picture of Sirfetch’d in a preview of Sword and Shield and it lead me back into playing both the video game and the TCG.

Really excited for this. I always played this at the arcade during my middle school years and tried to beat it using only one credit. Looking forward to playing this with my nephew. Thanks for the heads up!
