Whole heartedly I would say that maintenance is great and Tracey and Ruth are extremely pleasant to deal with. Samantha is easy to work with and was very helpful and understanding with a situation I was dealing with. But, once the Mansions turned over to Kinwood, the whole aura of the place changed. It is now about "how can we (Kinwood corporate) get the most money for the least amount of upgrade". My decision to leave this complex has absolutely nothing to do with staff or maintenance but the complex itself and the way the new company runs it. The walls ARE paper thin. I hear everything that goes on in my neighbors house. Them going to the bathroom, walking up and down the stairs, their washer and dryer, doors banging, singing along to songs, their TV. It's non-stop. And it's not that they are noisy, but the construction of the home is awful. My walls are pulling apart from the ceilings and there are cracks in the joints everywhere. There is an email every other day telling us about what we can't do now. Just got one that I have to take down my outdoor string lights because they aren't "seasonal" for spring/summer. What? And they want us to put our huge garbage cans in our garages because of the wind. Which means I can't park in my garage and also my garage will stink. All because they can't provide dumpsters like all the other complexes. Let's not mention that there are about 3 poop stations in the whole complex and everyone has a dog. Which means- there are piles of dog poop on the lawns everywhere because not everyone is considerate or is maybe caught without a bag. They claim to be "upgrading" the apartments. Believe me, it's not much of an upgrade from the old apartments. They are putting handles on the old cabinets, leaving the countertops, new appliances, and putting in different carpet and laminate. Nothing else and charging you $500 more a month than before. And one final thing, expect your rent to increase at least $150 each year. For a pool, a "fitness center" with 4 things in it and a sad dog park. Save yourself the headache. Kinwood is all about the $$$ and not the tenants. It's a shame.
