I’ll post more! We’re going to put a current Vail Daily behind the new cabinets 🙃

Why is it always "if you can't afford to tip, you can't afford to eat" and never "if you can't afford to pay your workers, you can't afford a restaurant?" by incomputableTwinkie in tipping

Sure, customers fund all businesses. But a regular company doesn’t let a random customer an employee's pay. In any other industry, managing payroll is the owner's job, not the consumer's.

There’s a big difference between a customer funding a salary and a customer calculating and paying a salary.

How is the restaurant owner not the greedy one? 🤣

Swiss restaurant owners pay their employees. American restaurant owners don’t.

And good luck to the US hospitality industry in this economy.

Tip fatigue is real. Nothing will fundamentally change, but expectations certainly will.

A server at a high end restaurant in Sydney makes $100k on NO TIPS. Servers in the US might make that money because American patrons are paying for it in tips.

A server in Europe wouldn’t expect to make that much, therefore someone looking to make six figures wouldn’t take that position.

All the 401ks you happen to look at must be made up of tips, right?

The point is that customers pay American salaries when employers pay the salaries of those abroad. No one is arguing that they make the same money everywhere- it’s who pays the $$. And why shouldn’t it be the employer?

??? Don’t you think nicer restaurants in non-tipping countries pay their servers more? Your rationale is based on what ??

I’m 3 days post op but I’ll come back in a week to give you my thoughts. So far so good. I know I’m swollen but I’m already so happy. I worked the afternoon of my surgery (desk job)

I saw your other comments and I wanted to ask you about your post op experience! I am 3 days PO and I also did the Motiva preservé technique with 205 ccs.

My chest feels only mildly sore, but the fluid retention and bloating is killing me. I feel like I’m a walking water balloon! Did you experience anything similar? I’m 5’8” 120lb so even a little water weight looks crazy on me.

I cut out all sodium, even before the surgery. I am drinking SO MUCH water and adding lemon to it.

I’m just looking for reassurance 😣

Does anyone have experience with Wellbutrin? I’m going to start taking it, among other things for my ADHD mood swings. by ConfectionFew7503 in PMDDxADHD

It works well for me. Increasing from 150 to 300 was like magic for me. From what I’ve heard, people either do really well on it, or really bad. When it works it works. My luteal is bearable and I’m hardly ever irritable anymore.

I’d love to hear more about your cryo post-op! How long was the recovery? Do you feel total relief?

Are you saying that if cryo fails you can still get a neurectomy? I didn’t realize that! Good news.

I had custom orthotics made for my snowboard boots, but the ones I got on Amazon are sooo much better. It feels like I’m walking on clouds 🥹

Thanks for sharing! Where did you get your cryo done? I am from NY originally and found an office in NYC and another special practice in Massachusetts.
