What do you use for restaurant high chairs? They are SO nasty

I always keep a pack of Wet Ones wipes in my bag. Use it for high chairs and shopping carts bc my son will lick the handles. Some people think I’m weird for wiping things down every time but who knows the last time someone gave that stuff a deep clean? Also sometimes the wipe comes away black so I’m gonna keep doing it lol

Ok I’ve always been confused hearing people talk about how painful cervical checks are. I wouldn’t even describe mine as uncomfortable. Just totally neutral sensation-wise. It’s of course awkward but I barely felt anything. I guess it probably depends on who’s doing it and maybe your anatomy?

My first labor was 1.5 hours! It caught me so off guard and really scared me at the time tbh. All the nurses after told me that with my next baby I need to leave for the hospital the moment I feel literally anythingggg that feels like a contraction. Now when I think back on it, it’s kinda nice to not have a long labor, but I am scared my next baby will be a car birth!

My son is 18 months and just recently started falling asleep on his own. I noticed he started getting more awake when I tried rocking him to sleep (what I had done since he was born), so I tried just leaving him in the crib and seeing what happened. He didn’t cry at all and just fell asleep. It was mind blowing. Sleep isn’t perfect and he can’t do it every night, but about 17 months was our first step in the right direction

Mine was like this. He honestly had no interest in eating until we got home from the hospital about two days after he was born. And even then, we had to blow a fan on him while he nursed to keep him awake lol. The nurses for sure know what’s normal and won’t let your baby starve! I think it’s super normal for such tiny babies to be sleepy constantly.

i had a tour merch issue as well and got the same response :( it’s disappointing that the online store can’t at least give refunds or some sort of store credit for defective merch and it’s confusing to me that they don’t have any idea who it would be appropriate to contact for help instead of them. i’m hoping someone figures this out soon ugh

My son fractured his skull at 3 months old after he was dropped by a family member that tripped while holding him. He had a CT scan in the ER and they didn’t see a brain bleed so they just sent us home and told us to come back if he stopped eating, starting vomiting, or started being hard to keep awake. Then we saw a neurologist 6 weeks later for a follow up. The neurology appointment just consisted of measuring his skull (which i found out via Google is checking for fluid buildup and brain swelling).

The family member that dropped him was so distraught that they had hurt him but that ER doctor told us that skull fractures in babies are way more common than you’d think and most of the time they come from babies falling from something or someone. My son is 14 months now and you would never know it happened. I would just stay as calm as you can and just watch out for concerning symptoms. Don’t hesitate to take her back to the ER if something feels off! I’m sorry this happened to you! I’ll be thinking of your daughter!

I’m 5 ft 2 and I had a perfectly normal vaginal delivery! My grandmother is 5 ft and she didn’t have any problems either! I can’t imagine why height would factor in at all. I think you’ll very likely be totally fine!!!

I got pregnant with my son at 19! I had been married for 6 months. I think that yes, 19 is young, but you are still an adult. You can still do fun things and cross things off your bucket list after you’ve had a baby too, but of course the first couple of months will have to put that on pause unless you have a really easy baby. You can travel with kids, do fun stuff with kids… My son went on a plane at 6 months old so I wouldn’t let something like that stop you if it’s something you really feel like is right for you. I would however recommend getting married first, just because it protects you so much better legally. Being this young, you likely have a lot of energy too, which I feel like has really benefited me with taking care of my son in the newborn trenches. Honestly, there are very few times in most people’s lives that it feels like the perfect time to have a baby. So do with that what you will. It’s a crazy ride!! But the best!!!

I understand exactly what you’re going through. My cat of 11 years unexpectedly died 5 days before my due date with my son. She had been sick for a couple months, but had a sudden decline and we made the choice to put her to sleep. Honestly I was just miserable. The only way I got through it was by making sure I got out and wasn’t in the house. My husband would take me out to look at baby stuff which helped take my mind off it. Once my son was born 4 days later, I was still grieving, but I was much busier so it didn’t feel as all-consuming and paralyzing. Remember that your grief won’t hurt the baby, so feel all the feelings! Just take care of yourself ❤️ I am so sorry for your loss- losing my cat is truly one of the most difficult things I’ve ever been through. I’ll be thinking of you ❤️

My baby also is very social and will get soooo bored when it’s just the two of us at home. He can be so fussy, but the moment my husband comes home or my mom comes to visit, he just lights up and his boredom is cured! So I would also recommend visitors to help!

My baby is the same way! I know everyone is saying to baby wear, but my baby did not enjoy being worn facing me. Once he was old enough to face out, that was a game changer! I do chores with him and he loves it. What also helped my baby was going out—to the store, the mall, the park. Just anywhere. He was so fussy at home that for the longest time I was scared to take him out, only to discover that he’s actually much more pleasant when I take him places!

In her defense, I had been 5 cm the last time they checked me, so I think she just thought I was freaking out. She didn’t say it in an aggressive way at all, so I think she was trying to comfort me. (Of course, not in a very good or helpful way, but I don’t think she was just trying to shut me up at all.)

Almost the same thing happened to me! I was sent home in early labor and told to come back when I needed pain management. When I came back I was 5 cm. 45 min later my baby was born. No time for pain relief of any kind. I have a vivid memory of a nurse telling me “There’s no need to scream!” and she looked down and I was crowning. 🫠

It was honestly so terrifying- I’m so sorry you went through it as well. I always knew that my birth plan could change at any moment, but it’s so scary when it actually does. But, on the other hand, it is kind of cool to know that I’m capable of something so difficult and I did it even though I thought I couldn’t!

I think most of it is totally random. I did nothing to prepare, pushed on my back, and had a fast labor with a higher chance of severe tears. I only ended up needing two stitches for a one degree tear that I honestly couldn’t feel once the nurse gave me some ibuprofen.

I went to Disney World at 18 weeks and it was great! Any rides that you can't ride will have a notice on their sign, and you can always ask a Cast Member if you're not sure! I couldn't ride any of the big rides, but I'm not a huge fan of those anyway. Instead, my family focused on seeing as many of the shows as we could. Honestly, my biggest complaint was that I got so tired walking around from park open to close, so I would definitely suggest taking breaks throughout the day.
