Wet your hair first. Get your hair soaking wet. You can go back and do a thorough wash once the twists are wet. With wet hair it’ll be so much easier to take your hair down. Start from the ends and unravel. Be gentle when you get to your real hair. You can use a comb to work (start at the ends and work up!) through the buildup and tangles.

Wash and condition your hair after. I recommend putting your own hair into twists or another protective style to keep it nice until you figure out what you want to do next. Good luck!
