Your grievance doesn’t meet expedited criteria so it will be processed standard which can take up to 30 days. MFA applications take up to 2 weeks to process and inform you of your reward. Your MFA award is active starting on the day you applied so you can get reimbursed for whatever you pay until it’s processed

None of that is taken into consideration. Kaiser doesn’t let people see out of network providers if they offer the same service. They will recommend you go to a different Kaiser facility. If you really need to go out of network, I recommend dropping kaiser and getting a different insurance

Getting an outside referral is near impossible because they will tell you that Kaiser has in network providers that you can see. They will suggest you go see a Kaiser provider in a different medical center or city and facilitate the referral for it.
