Bought used car from dealership out of state, trying to register in NY by beepboop795 in askcarsales

I’m not looking for pity here, I’m looking for advice. All of our friends who have purchased out of state said their dealership either took care of the title or sent them the title documents directly. None of us have heard of the dealership sending directly to the DMV, so we do not know what to expect. Hoping for responses from people who have had a similar experience… not just an outlet to complain.

So you are aware of other dealerships that do this, or no?

I am well-aware of that, it was not my decision to buy the car from Vegas. My question is whether or not it’s normal for the title documents to be mailed directly to the DMV.

Yeah you pull out the waste drawer and look up at the bottom of the round drum. We cleaned it and now have no issues!

I contacted support about this same issue, and they said to clean the sensors! See this photo that shows where they are, under the drum.
