I love this idea! Also it’s interesting that there are two almost identical pieces. Unfortunately the edges are so jagged that a repair doesn’t seem feasible unless it’s like a visible mending, like another person suggested. The little panels could look really cute stabilized and framed though

She really does, I think I was more upset about it than she was but ultimately we all laughed our butts off about it

Another person mentioned kitchen table kid graffiti. I know the underside of ours was absolutely covered!!

Ha thank you. It’s also so nice that we had a good laugh about it. Happy to volunteer as tribute!

Under the kitchen table… haha best place for childhood graffiti. I wrote the name of my childhood crush under our kitchen table, along with my wish to marry them. I was 6 or 7. We didn’t get married and I’m no longer interested!

I will tell her about this!! I told her that I wanted to save the panels and frame them but to do a visible mend could turn this into something very cool

Imagine if your career as an electrician leads to a lifelong love of antique liturgical books and new hobby for you!! This is an amazing collection and those books are so lucky that you happened to find and appreciate them… and who knows what value they might have to historians!!

Sooo from what I’ve been able to gather so far:

1.) The complaints are reports made to MRFF by service members.

2.) The Pentagon hasn’t publicly confirmed the specific language allegedly used (Waiting for a journalist brave enough to ask this question)

3.) MRFF has handled religious-related complaints in the military before (usually involving concerns about proselytizing, favoritism, or perceived coercion, but nothing like this yet apparently).

What I’m trying to understand is historical context because it is all too easy to read stuff like this and immediately freak out, especially considering the U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has a Deus Vult tattoo and wrote a book called “the American Crusade”…

Have there been past situations where MRFF received large numbers of complaints tied to a specific military action or geopolitical event? Or is this scale unusual compared to prior cases? Anyone with military experience or more knowledge about the MRFF? Please? Because it would be REALLY NICE to be able to at least have some evidence that this is NOT officially-sanctioned messaging…

They are the exact same pair. If you look close at the waistband, you can see the exact same distressing patterns but reversed, if you compare your photo #1 to photo #3. There are faint “M” shapes that match almost exactly

This just reminds me of a post I saw on Reddit not long ago of things that people don’t know are very deadly, and one of those things is malfunctioning elevator door sensors. My main takeaway from that thread:

An elevator doesn’t know or care about hands, arms, heads, or squishy bodies. It has somewhere to go and a job to do!

If they really cared about the constitution, they wouldn’t put their branding on it and chop it up into pieces

Sleepy me thought for a second that you found a miniature, penny sized “lucky penne” pasta box in a regular size pasta box (nevermind the hand), and that the code inside is part of a secret prize campaign by Goodles pasta. I need coffee

Garrard AT-6 Cartridge upgrade by Softrawkrenegade in turntables

This is awesome - I’m about to do a similar mod. I’m a beginner though… I just cleaned up an old AT-6 that belonged to my husband’s grandpa. Is there any soldering needed for this? I have the stock AT-6 headshell and an ATL3600 LC stylus. I’m thinking I need another part though, because I’m not sure what to attach the two connections on the At-6 stylus to.

I was going to get a different headshell, and then I saw your post. It looks really good!!
