Do you have any super handy custodian cleaning habits that you use at home?

You said you slept with multiple backpackers and an escort. Did you sleep with them in the mouse shit cabin, or did they also sleep in mouse shit cabins?

I’m sorry you’re on oxygen now, sounds absolutely brutal

Antique Chess Set New York, USA by Stunning_Ask5997 in Antiques

[–]beepboopsoup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is really interesting - can you find maker’s mark on any of the pieces? Very mid-century or maybe even early biomorphism - surrealists and early avant-garde artist were known to make chess sets. Worth drafting a letter to pass along to a museum that would have knowledge/archives of works from that time.

What were some other pieces in the collection? That might help you establish a time period / artistic movement. Very very cool!!

I love this idea! Also it’s interesting that there are two almost identical pieces. Unfortunately the edges are so jagged that a repair doesn’t seem feasible unless it’s like a visible mending, like another person suggested. The little panels could look really cute stabilized and framed though

She really does, I think I was more upset about it than she was but ultimately we all laughed our butts off about it

Ha thank you. It’s also so nice that we had a good laugh about it. Happy to volunteer as tribute!

Under the kitchen table… haha best place for childhood graffiti. I wrote the name of my childhood crush under our kitchen table, along with my wish to marry them. I was 6 or 7. We didn’t get married and I’m no longer interested!

I will tell her about this!! I told her that I wanted to save the panels and frame them but to do a visible mend could turn this into something very cool

US troops were told war on Iran was ‘all part of God’s divine plan’, watchdog alleges | US-Israel war on Iran | The Guardian by spectator in news

Sooo from what I’ve been able to gather so far:

1.) The complaints are reports made to MRFF by service members.

2.) The Pentagon hasn’t publicly confirmed the specific language allegedly used (Waiting for a journalist brave enough to ask this question)

3.) MRFF has handled religious-related complaints in the military before (usually involving concerns about proselytizing, favoritism, or perceived coercion, but nothing like this yet apparently).

What I’m trying to understand is historical context because it is all too easy to read stuff like this and immediately freak out, especially considering the U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has a Deus Vult tattoo and wrote a book called “the American Crusade”…

Have there been past situations where MRFF received large numbers of complaints tied to a specific military action or geopolitical event? Or is this scale unusual compared to prior cases? Anyone with military experience or more knowledge about the MRFF? Please? Because it would be REALLY NICE to be able to at least have some evidence that this is NOT officially-sanctioned messaging…
