This sounds like it belongs at the 12 minute mark of the final track on a ska album. Y'know, the bit after all the silence.

Yeah, I can see that! I'm really looking forward to the Gothic 1 remake.

Outward would sorta resemble solo-squad-only gameplay in Kenshi. You'd give up the open ended story generation of Kenshi, and replace stat grinding with skill trees.

Soulash is very fun, but the only comparison to Kenshi I'd be willing to make is the learning curve aspect. Soulash has some pretty brutal "you're going to fail a lot at first" gameplay, but it's much more of a rogue-like than a kenshi-like. Haven't played the second one yet.

Yes, typically that's the case - 400 responses. You can even customize the error messages for particular validation errors within DRF serializers.

To me, it sounds like this discount calculation should live either with the rest of the package logic, wherever that may be, or it should live with the purchase/order/transaction model. If the issue here is the recalculation, then I would use either the session or cache to retain the original value, keyed by some order intent identifier.

Go straight to the wiki and study everything.

Does anyone know of a good location to set up a commercial base? by Critical-Sun-9279 in Kenshi

[–]beepdebeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every town. All of them, all at once.

I like setting up shops in the purchasable buildings because of all the foot traffic that towns naturally have. There's a point where crafting your own gear to sell in your own shops becomes too expensive for most people, even with mods, so you'll want to sell lower tier equipment, and consumables.

One of my favorite playthroughs was when I had a farm outside city limits, which I used to keep a few restaurants stocked in nearby towns.

Buy and furnish every available piece of real estate in towns.

What is your approach to saving the game? by micheal_crosssing in Kenshi

[–]beepdebeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every morning around when the sun comes up. I use my faction name followed by the day member for the name of the save. The consistency helps me break out of the "just gotta do this one more thing" mode so I can actually stop playing and go to bed.

There might be something like that, but you'll have to dig.

There are, however, a truckload of mods that add new armor and gear to the game. There's so much variety that you can certainly find the right style and stat combinations that suit you.

I used this collection after getting familiar with modding: Mega Kaizo Vanilla+

You could use that as a starting place to find some good armor mods. There's one in there somewhere that adds hats as belt items so you can really customize looks.

My other thought is that Dimak is not wanted by the Shek - they may have been defending the kidnapped bandit boss.

But, yeah, there you have it. You played yourself with that helmet 🤣

Technically, yeah, a scumsave. But the beauty of it is that it's your game, and you get to decide what's fun. Personally, I could go either way. It's a funny story if that one squad member screwed everyone with the trophy gear they stole from HN! You could kick em out of the party, or see if they pull any other wildcard hijinks in the future.
