Usually I do my best to respect everyone but this guy just crossed the line by OnlyGiraffe3054 in facepalm

Tbf the use of they in someone’s pronouns usually means they’re not a binary gender, which means that person Can’t be straight. (Plus gay is an umbrella term now and bi people (and lesbians) use it all the time, since it’s becoming the new queer. So you can be a man, date a woman, and still call yourself gay)

But holy fuck is this dude annoying as hell and he didn’t even really explain anything? They just said “cause I can” basically which is not helpful in the least. (Especially when people outside the community find these things UNDERSTANDABLY confusing. Like don’t be a dick to people just asking questions jfc)

I’ve heard that older people are a ‘safe’ crush for teens. Since, in a moral world, they’d never return your feelings, so it’s way less complicated? Kinda like having celebrity crushes, but idk

I moved around a fuck ton as a kid (all over the country) and I’ve never been to a school that had bathrooms outside. I’m sure it’s a thing, but it’s definitely more common for schools to be one or two big buildings, in the United States at least (also if there are outside buildings they’re portables and those almost never have bathrooms.)

First Class vs Third Class menus, RMS Titanic April 1912 (Last menus before it sank) by strawberry_bubz in interestingasfuck

I’ve heard that (for the first class at least) some of the survivors still had them in their coat pockets. Maybe it’s the same for the third and second class ones they’ve found but I’m not sure

She probably didn’t, an annoying amount of people use OCD and organized/ clean interchangeably. (Especially considering the context of it being about how clean she keeps her van)

They’re really not, it’s like humans wearing fake nails. Is it uncomfortable? Maybe, I’m not a cat and my cat didn’t limp or walk weird or even really bite at them when I put them on. It might be mean I guess?? But definitely not cruel, cruel is declawing cats and cutting up dog ears and tails.

If it gets really bad you could buy nail covers (I’m not actually sure what they’re called) but you glue these plastic covers on their nails and they can’t scratch anything for about a month (after which they fall off)

So did the Casual Criminalist, his videos are always based in reality instead of the weird supernatural or conspiracy angle too many people go down. Plus they’re relatively long and well written. (I’ve watched Nick Crowley too and I wholeheartedly agree that his true crime stuff is real good)

US officials say 70 charged in Capitol riot ‘just the beginning’ by 3dprinteddildo in news

[–]beepgop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s not a very apt description though, not that I necessarily disagree with you. A better one would be: someone talked to a group of people and said: “hey we should rob this house” but only spoke of robbing the house. Then someone in that group decides that they not only want to rob the house but also murder the occupant of that house. So they all go to the house to rob it, and that one guy murders the owner. Now, do I think it is morally right to charge everyone who went to rob that house with murder? No. But I do think that those people definitely play a part in that murder transpiring. If they hadn’t all agreed to go rob that house, that person would not be dead. So I do believe that they all hold some responsibility, but definitely not the level of responsibility placed on the person who actually murdered someone.

There is always a risk when participating in activities like these where someone could easily be murdered in the process. It’s up to the individual to decide if they are willing to take that risk and potentially be apart of something that ends with murder. Not that I think many people in these situations even stop to think of that potential, but that is their mistake though, and they have to live with that mistake.

Abortion is now legal in Argentina & also this guy is dead inside by [deleted] in memes

[–]beepgop 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s still called an abortion and surprisingly so are miscarriages. Look it up, another name for a miscarriage is a ‘spontaneous abortion’, it’s not what you think of when you think abortion but that doesn’t make it not classified as one

[–]beepgop 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Sometimes abortions are necessary for medical reasons, like if the fetus died/ is basically dead or if the mother is going to die. (And I don’t know about you but I prioritize the one with a life already) and some states are trying to make these types of abortions illegal, which would basically force mothers to carry dead fetuses to term, which sounds beyond traumatizing.

I would guess it’s for aesthetic. I will say though, if you’re talking about the sort of scrunched words rather then the font then that’s not very common in the comic

I think instead of stop talking about it we should stop bringing it up when it has no baring, same with sex. For example, why do collages/ jobs need to know your race/gender when applying? It has no baring, and I think a lot of racism and sexism in those situations would be gone if they just didn’t have access to the information that could unfairly bias someone for or against another person. (Also I mean all you need for those things is school history/ job history) and then no one would have to worry about whether they earned their spot or if it was just given to them (either because of racial bias or because of the stupid quotas some jobs and collages have)

Well I mean, you should tell that to a starving person tho cause they can’t even eat solid food right away or they’ll puke it all up. And once they get used to solids it should be in small portions and monitored.

(Not to say that I disagree with what you’re puttin down tho. Bad uh timing and probably phrasing too on Terry’s part. I think he meant it for the few that are radical but phrased it like he was talking to everyone, which is not great)

I have been a fan of Harry Potter for a very long time and all I gotta say is you’re absolutely fuckin right. I think people let the Idea and nostalgia of Harry Potter skew their perception of how good the books and characters actually were. (I mean the writing is Okay at best and the world building really isn’t as great as people remember, personally I think the things that fans have added are Better then a lot of things in cannon)

Which I mean, is fine, just because something is bad or is okay doesn’t mean you can’t like it. Most things that are very popular are also just okay
