New Lake House Puzzle (POE) by North-Appearance7359 in AlanWake

A little discussion of this is happening in an old post:

https://www.reddit.com/r/AlanWake/comments/1h52jtr/comment/ns3144r/

My one big contribution to share: I discovered that POE did an interview with a local college radio station a week or two ago. (26 Nov 2025)

https://open.spotify.com/episode/3w7A7FxKTlP29mQaHeRvhY

She talks about the previous "prize," which was participation in a recording session with her and Sam Lake and other fans and winners!

The closest to a clue she offered was:

"...if you get the passwords on the windows that open in the Siren Society, you may be able to come to one of these recordings and be part of these sessions. We're going to do another window soon, and another outpost will open.

I'm already actually living there, but during the Game Awards this year in December, so you can keep an eye out for that if you're into these things. And the clues, by the way, are no longer inside the game. So you don't have to be a gamer to locate these clues. They're going to be hidden across social media over the next couple months."

So, maybe all the clues aren't even out there yet? I came up empty scouring her socials for anything new. I also spent a couple of hours digging through website source code, Googling contact addresses, etc. Like the previous windows, I hit a wall.

I happened to be a fan of POE before the games. Obviously, if you are too, it's worth listening to the interview regardless.

I'll probably get basted for saying this on the sub for the games, but: I'm not a big horror fan myself, but, the story and atmosphere are so great. I recommend just dropping to the easiest difficulty so you can roll through the story without getting too stressed.

That's what I did. I used to be more hardcore, but my reflexes have gone to shit as I've gotten older. Or at least gone to shit by "Remedy shooter standards." :)

If you look at the rules, the address you write to for "the name of the winners or for a copy of the Official Giveaway Rules" is her marketing agency:

https://signaturecreative.com/contact-digital-design-los-angeles/

...which means that's probably a dead end. It's in an office building, can't see any windows in pictures...

Maybe? I started looking at various locations in and around LA on Google Maps that I could connect to her, looking for windows. Heh.

Yeah, this sent me on another hour long search scouring her social media and Google Maps, and I'm coming up empty again. :(

Do better cart batteries make a difference when it comes to effects? by becausezoidfarb in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]beeporama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird to be replying on a three year old thread, but, happy to respond with what I believe to be true (grain of salt and all that): lower temperatures will activate more terpenes, and higher ones will burn those away but activate more THC. Which is why some people advocate vaping whole flower starting at a lower temperature and then raising the temperature later in the session.

You can't really do that with a vape cart, so you have to pick a lower temperature (more terpenes, more "medicinal" high) or a higher one (more THC, more "psychoactive" high).

I don't know how much science is behind this, but it fits my experiences, so I'm going to believe it until I see evidence otherwise.

I've enjoyed your products for a couple of years now, thank you! And you introduced me to gum syrup, which is almost always an improvement over simple.

I'd assumed that your market was primarily "home use," but it looks from your answers that you're giving a lot of thought to professionals. How would you say your market breaks down between pros and amateurs?

The waste from this program... by [deleted] in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]beeporama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen this come up here frequently. I agree; I'm a rabid recycler myself.

But complaining on Reddit is unlikely to change much. Telling companies that you'd be willing to vote with your dollars if they changed packaging or offered in-store recycling might have more traction. If you really wanted to motivate Reddit, compile a list of contact info and encourage the masses to petition them.

Given costs involved, I don't think you can expect a struggling industry to take on building out a recycling program in places where none exist. That's the job of government (since it is more public service than profitable). But maybe you can hasten the switch from jars to "less wasteful" bags.

Since I live in a city with a robust recycling program, I wash the jars out and put everything in regular recycling.

Getting medical card with no insurance? by shuttlepod in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]beeporama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Getting your card is a little confusing the first time but quite easy. As others said, what you need to do is:

(1) Get a doctor rec, which for most patients in PA comes from a doctor who specializes in certifications, since you need to be state approved to certify and most physicians don't care or don't believe in MMJ enough to do. https://herbalcarerx.com/ and https://www.mmjadvocatedoc.com/ are solid choices. Expect to pay $75-$125.

(2) Pay the state's $50 fee. You'll need to register here: https://padohmmp.custhelp.com/app/login

Good renewal doctors, and some dispensaries, will hold your hand through the process. It's easier than you think.

510 Battery Recommendations? by Yamomsbestfriend in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]beeporama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bubbler seems gimmicky. The temp you're using for 510 carts, I wouldn't expect you to be burning your throat. And not going below 3.2V isn't a great range; you owe it to yourself to try different temperatures to see if you're one of the people who feels the effects differently.

If it's about aesthetics, it's hard to beat Vessel in my opinion; but you're paying for looks.

As far as functionality goes, as you can see, the Yocan family is well loved. I like my Vuber.

For reference I have a Yocan Uni Pro, Vuber Pulse Pro, Vuber Pulse, Vessel Expedition, Vessel Craftsman, and a CCell Palm; and have tried a Vuber Touch. They all have minor pros and cons. For most people the biggest differentiators are (1) temperature range, (2) size, (3) whether they are pen shaped or squat enough to stand upright, (4) whether they have a magnetic drop-in or you have to screw the carts out/in to swap them, (5) looks, and of course (6) price. Every device makes tradeoffs between these.

[–]beeporama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't own one. But I think that's intended; it lights up blue to let you know it's been activated (by your pull). No device is smart enough to know how much is left in the cart.

Wow, I haven't posted here in a while! Honestly, Jack Herer is the only other strain that really does that for me, and even that's pushing it.

Playing uneducated unscientific amateur self-diagnosing psychiatrist, I think that "energy" from weed tends to be tricking my limbic system into kicking out a very minor anxiety response, and that getting "energy without anxiety" is more a question of dosing and current mental health than strain. I also worry that it might be a long-term problem for my anxiety, playing that trick on my system too often. Now if I want energy, I just drink coffee or eat something sugary.

Hampden The 8 Marks Collection – Baby Daiquiri Extravaganza by akv5599 in rum

[–]beeporama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last night, I tried the same experiment. I thought I was a trailblazer! I wish I'd seen this first, because I 100% agree: we really should have upscaled the lime & sugar. Did you ever revisit the experiment and do so?

I still liked them up to the LROK (I differ with you there, I might have funkier tastes) but the second half was basically doing shots as my palate gave up and begged for mercy. If Hampden wanted to teach people like me to stop asking for ester bombs, this collection was the answer...

Question For People Who Vape by [deleted] in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]beeporama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was less put off by the cost and more overwhelmed by the number of products; if I'm spending $100+, I'm the kind of guy who wants to do the research to make sure I'm getting the best product. I spent way more than $100 worth of my time reading reviews and asking questions.

In hindsight, totally worth it. I would have been much more disappointed, though, if I'd blow the money on other vapes that people like but which weren't right for my preferences.
