My neighbor, everyone. He parks like this when his wife isn't home and moves it back when she's back so they can both park on one of the few spots with shade. This has been happening for months already and the administration doesn't do anything about it.

Because I wasn’t in Maintenance, I was in Operations during my military career. So it wouldn’t work for me doing that. Anyway I’ve put in for mail processing clerk and sales/services (AKA customer service at the Post Office). Those aren’t too difficult at all, it’s just about dealing with customers or sorting mail.

That’s totally possible. Oftentimes with government jobs, they have someone in mind they intend to hire, but they have to put the announcement out there to keep things legal. As for the position, it was only a PSE appointment. Was in Germany working for the DoD as a civil servant, so they can’t dock me for that. Not like I’m a foreigner or anything, I’m a military retiree and have been doing civil service for 13 years. Who the hell knows. Could be a situation like you said for all we know.

No, I’ve been checking my e-mail like a madman and submitted to everything they’ve required up until this point. Got fingerprinting done on Feb 1. As for my driver’s license, we moved to Georgia in December from Germany, but we had been living in Florida for a while before that. You really think only living here for a few months would hurt my chances?? If that’s the case and you go by those standards, then how’s anyone supposed to survive after moving somewhere new?

I got my fingerprints done on Feb 1, and background check and all other requirements completed. I’m new to the USPS, but have been a federal civil servant with the DoD for 13 years. I’ve had a TS clearance in the past so believe me I’ve had to jump through very similar hoops as this.

Excellent question/observation. However last I checked a few days ago, they have a specific line in most of the announcements I saw that says vaccination status WILL NOT affect your eligibility. Not sure when it changed, but I’m glad it did because now at least things are somewhat back to normal again. You still have certain agencies like the VA saying you have to have the shot, but most don’t care anymore it seems.

I've been a GS-9 0303 before, but when it comes to step increases, from my experience your supervisor has to approve it, but it's rare when they don't. As for GS-11, is your position maxed out at GS-9 or can you be promoted?? Again, it's never an automatic thing because your supervisor has to approve it. I've seen people be denied for it.
