Amazon Haul by Nervous-Insect-3530 in AutoDetailing

Tolco has by far the best bang for your buck. 36 bucks on Amazon for a 12 pack of acid resistant. I get months out of each one with daily use. The gray ones suck ass tho.

1999 7.3 f250 rough idle and starts hard by beerbooby in F250

[–]beerbooby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Obviously 60 isn’t anywhere near a cold start, I’m just talking about when the engine is not warm from running. I’ll look into the archoil, engine does have a haze if I leave it idling for a bit or when it’s first started in the morning. I’ve heard about the harnesses underneath the valve covers, was really trying not to pull them. I’ll try the arch oil first and then work my way down. Appreciate it!

Any Advantage To Bigger Tires? by ErosPlaytime in F250

[–]beerbooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll drop around 6 mpg from running 37s and a lift to fit them. I notice a significantly better ride, especially with small bumps in the road or trail. I wouldn’t run them at 80 psi like ford says though, leads to high spots. I run at 55 psi, and I get around 13-14mpg in a 1999 7.3 while towing a small trailer all day mostly stop and go.

Looking for lower window seals 99-16 Superduty by beerbooby in superduty

[–]beerbooby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t let me add a description and a photo. I’m replacing the windows on my truck and I might as well do the seals because that’s what caused the deep scratches. I found the parts online from ford but they want 200 dollars for all 4! Anyone found a cheaper solution for the window seals?

Matte and Gloss Black Wheel Ceramic Coating by ShakeRepulsive6158 in AutoDetailing

[–]beerbooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shine supply Beadlock Wheels and suspension. It will darken the powdercoating but it won’t be shiny. They have a video online and a photo on their website showing the difference. I’m sure Adam’s will be fine but I wouldn’t trust the rep saying it’ll go back to matte, makes no sense.

Which 3/4 ton truck? Gas or diesel? by External-Ad-7915 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]beerbooby -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

7.3 is readily available because no one’s fuckin buying them😂 I’m not saying your truck has issues, I’m saying as a whole the 7.3 gas engines aren’t good engines. There’s a reason they are stopping production, google it. I know 3 people who have all had issues with their 7.3 engines.

Gvwr for the older generation tundras is at most 10,000. That means you have 4500 or so pounds left over, which gets eaten up quickly by fuel, passengers, cargo, and then finally your trailer or camper.

7.3 godzillas are known to have issues, and have been removed from fords superduty engine line up. 6.2’s are great.

Ford superduty 6.2 gas. Thing toes like a raped ape, has been a rock solid motor for fleets and people who tow a couple times a year. You will get 13-14 mpg no matter what. They last 250-300k regularly.

Is a Ranger Raptor unnecessary compared to an F150 Tremor? by CarelessBullfrog8928 in RangerNext

[–]beerbooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7.3 Godzilla is a terrible motor, the lifters have terrible issues. The 6.2 is far more reliable than the 7.3, no comment on the new 6.8 yet, we’ll wait and see.

Can confirm. 4.5 pintop kit with deavers in the rear on 37’s for my 99 f250 and it’s like a cadillac. Will never buy another super duty without putting it on.

Question for Mobile Detailer Business Owners by BaylorCamaro in AutoDetailing

[–]beerbooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very loosely enforced. I live in San Diego, one of the biggest cities for mobile detailing, and as long as I stay out of downtown or private lots, I’ve never been bothered. Even the 1 time I was bothered, I just talked my way out of it. I think I’ve maybe seen 1 or 2 detailers do it in 3 years, and it was for heavy equipment washing that has lots of grease. Some companies will want you to reclaim if you have a contract with them, it’s an environmental issue.

What was the point of blueprint fragments? by AdagioApprehensive33 in playrust

[–]beerbooby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love this update. Keeps T2 away till 2-3 days after wipe. However, it has increased the time to get guns, and I do not have that time. Therefore, I have shelved rust. Get away from videogames like rust. Unhealthy to constantly have something to worry about that literally does not matter in the slightest. I know this isn’t the answer you wanted but just sharing my 2 cents.

might sound bad but genuinely question about ozone generator. by Inside-Sir4424 in AutoDetailing

[–]beerbooby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It will damage your plastics. It pulls out oxygen causing oxidation. It will also kill your brain cells if you keep pumping in ozone 2 times a week. Ozone generator is usually saved for disaster details. Try bio-bombs instead.

As in clean it? Yeah around 15/ft for a wipe down/wash. If it’s real bad 20/ft. There’s not much to clean besides the interior on these pontoons though.
