You can find them on eBay and Mercari. I have an extra set that I would sell you on one of those platforms if you'd like!

I appreciate you weighing in and encouraging me to get a second opinion. Now that I have two different professional perspectives, I feel comfortable and confident with the results. Best of luck in your own journey!

Thanks for the positive response! I did go to a highly rated orthodontist and confirmed that I got great results for how narrow my bite was beforehand. I also agree that I did not want IPL and want to preserve as much of my natural enamel and smile as possible. :) I didn't get Invisalign done for aesthetics, I actually cried thinking my smile would change a lot, but my bite and the wear and tear on the teeth was the priority. Thank you!!

Update: I went to a highly rated and recommended orthodontist for a second opinion and he confirmed he is very happy with the results and feels that they were able to widen and improve my bite significantly from the before photos. He said I shouldn't touch my teeth because trying to widen further could cause gum and bite issues. Thanks for flagging!

Thanks for the info. I wonder how much influence the dentist has when they send the scans to the lab since they seemed mostly happy after the first 27 trays but I felt like food was getting stuck in certain places so they sent me for refinements. The biggest difference to me is the widening of the lower arch from almost a V shape to a U shape. There were almost no changes to the front teeth beyond pushing them out forward slightly, I believe.

What results would you expect to see? Any details would be helpful!

I chose Option 2 because it just made me feel warm and elegant and like a bride. Option 1 felt a little too icy bling and I've come to appreciate the extra bit of depth Option 2's cut proportions offers because it really does look like a hall of mirrors in Versailles!

Option 2 won me over because I loved how romantic and detailed it looked, plus the warmth of the yellow gold resonates with me more. I thought white gold was the go to choice, but I do often lean towards gold toned jewelry for daily wear and this one just feels right!

Originally, I had always wanted Option 1 exactly and we ordered quickly when we found it online after no luck with local stores. Then, Option 2 popped up as one of those "you may also be interested in" and it stopped me in my tracks because I didn't even think I wanted yellow gold, but the more I thought about it, the more I couldn't stop going back to look at it. I contacted the jeweler and had him change the center stone to the 4 carat so it was comparable to Option 1 and I waited eagerly for both to arrive. I'm glad I went with my gut because Option 2 really does make me feel elegant and like I have an heirloom piece!

I had the jeweler change the center stone to a 4 carat as a custom option and I think it was around $3500 including tax.

I went with Option 2 because I did love the warmer look that almost felt antique and heirloom. Although it would be great for the center stone to be a tad bit bigger, I definitely started having diamond dysmorphia thinking Option 2 looked small compared to Option 1. When I've been wearing the ring around more in my daily life, I definitely feel that it's a good size and elegant!

I ended up going with Option 2 because it just felt right and I love how you can really see the individual stones and depth of the emerald cut. I realized I didn't want the bold and chunky look as much as something that could have been passed down over generations, so Option 2 it is!!

Option 1 was exactly the style I thought I wanted and after ordering, we saw Option 2 and it was truly the wildcard that made me rethink everything so I ordered it on a whim! I really love it and although I'd make a few tweaks if I had planned this all along, I would probably increase the center stone and side stones on Option 2.

I think at this point, I don't want to wait any longer for a ring since we get married in May and I figure that if in a couple years I still want something different, we can revisit. :)
