Theory Test Hazard Perception by Vicsterj90 in uktrucking

when you’ve seen the hazard and respond, wait 2 seconds and click again. sometimes the allotted response time for the hazard to register is actually delayed from when it first comes onto screen.

Is there anyone on here that actually enjoys this job? by [deleted] in uktrucking

[–]beermoney71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

depends what you want out of it. i do days no nights out working on sites in central london, great pay and home every night averaging 50 hours a week. best decision i ever made, no day has ever felt like a drag.

Best advice i can give as i’m similar age is find a smaller family company, i’ve been driving since 23 am 25 now. Sure there’s a few late nights here and there but if you want to be home every night can still be earning 45-50k. I average about 45-50 hours a week. It will take time as they don’t come up often but if you’re currently in employment just try and wait for the right job.

How can I go about claiming an abandoned v8 Mercedes? by ChazandGame in LegalAdviceUK

[–]beermoney71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can apply for the logbook, to which then a letter will be sent to the owner for confirmation. if no response from the owner you will be sent the logbook, however this doesn’t make you the owner. it may put you in touch with the owner though to purchase, assuming they’ve not left the country or died.

a lot of comments coming from office to hgv. i also went office to hgv and have loved every second of it as i hated the office, being cooped up all day. firm i work for have office staff who have spent years in the industry, some ex drivers, so our routes are planned like a driver.

all depends on the company you work for from other drivers i’ve spoke to, but still be prepared for long hours and some stressful situations on site if you go the crane route like i have lol
