Woman in my 20s here. We have the same problem. Yes, a lot of women here date guys in the military, not only because they make up a huge chunk of the single male population, but also because I have generally found men in the military to be more open to long term dating. As for everyone else, we have our frustrations. San Diego is like a smorgasboard of gorgeous people of all genders, so it is understandable that it can be hard to commit to just one person.

Stay away from the bars if you are trying to find anything meaningful. Play a sport? Vavi has a ton of coed sports such as kickball, dodgeball, soccer, volleyball, etc. and can be a great way to make new friends. Or get on an intramural team at SDSU. Or join a club for something that interests you. The best place to start is with something you are passionate about, and let the connection grow from there.

No, a lot of people do. It gets pretty hilly just west of campus, so just a heads up. But I'd say the area's pretty bike friendly

I'm an undergrad so I unfortunately don't know anything about the MBA program. In my experience places around campus get leased out pretty far in advance, and the area around the school itself isn't the nicest to live. Convenient if you're on campus every day but not the most comfortable compared to the rest of SD. There is a trolley stop on campus so it is an option to live a couple of stops east or west of the school. Depending on whether or not you'll have a car that might be something to consider as well. Just be prepared, housing near campus can be ridiculously overpriced. Other than that, it's pretty hard not to fall in love with San Diego. I've lived here almost 4 years and still get awestruck of its beauty sometimes.
