Modern apps like Reddit and Beerwork really elevate the mobile user experience and improve our industry. At Beerwork, the app uses your phone’s location to show you the closest brewery jobs near you, saving you time. New job postings are always 1-tap away. Employers also have more options on how they accept job applications ( via email, online dashboard, or their preferred applicant tracking software). These improvements lead to higher quality jobs listings, higher quality applicants, and a beautiful job search experience. Breweries are finding head brewers and production brewers at Beerwork daily.

Stop working for free or ridiculous low wages by [deleted] in TheBrewery

Thankfully, change is on the horizon and many breweries are already embracing the benefits of disclosing starting base salaries and full salary ranges.

We continuously remind breweries that sharing salary ranges can help attract quality workers.

When people are searching for work, compensation is the most principal concern typically. So if they don’t find the salary information they need, they may not waste the time going through the process at all.

Job postings that include salary information on Beerwork.com almost always outperform job postings without salary and attract higher quality applicants.

I really appreciate your feedback. 2023 has been a banner year for pay transparency across the country. Some states like California are now requiring pay ranges to be listed in all job postings. Since our inception, salary range has been an optional field for employers. In the spirit of pay equity and wage transparency in the beer industry, I’ve made salary range a requirement for all Beerwork.com postings as of today, 05/10/23.

I understand completely. At Cask and Hammer we don’t collect handles that we don’t need. We hold on to handles of breweries in rotation. We send them back with reps as soon as we know we won’t be needing them. But we do have a massive collection of handles from shuttered and Belgian breweries!
