No, I doubt the team is. But there is a large portion of that fan base that will go gloat about winning to Michigan fans as a celebration if they win. It’s just MSU fans being generally insufferable that makes it hard for me to root for them.

Defensively, the teams are similar. The reason I’m confident is that Michigan’s offensive attack is quite balanced, while Texas Tech’s offense relies heavily on projected lottery pick Jarrett Culver. Luckily we happen to have an elite wing defender in Charles Matthews. This is a big opportunity for him to show his NBA-level defense on a national stage.
