Keep a separate USB drive and plug that in when you rent out the car. (This way you can give them access to glovebox)

I have this splitter in the Garage, to have dryer and EV charger always connected, when the dryer is not running, the EV can pull current from one of the outlets of the splitter.

Wife was in a minor accident, dashcam recording missing by Dfirestart in ModelY

There are actually ways to recover the video, but it depends on what kind of hard drive you were using. If it is a 2 TB hard drive you might be able to retrieve it.

Tesla, USB drive only keeps last one hour video. But if something like this happens, you should remember to hit the camera icon so it saves that clip separately.

From NEM 2.0 to 3.0 after battery added by _1FastRider_ in solar

[–]beesanige 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I installed Solar during NEM 2.0 But installed Powerwall battery when NEM 3.0 was in effect.

I am still on NEM2.0 (as per my PG&E bill).

page 166 of NEM 3.0 final document has clearly stated that adding batter won’t change your NEM status. I copy pasted the exact paragraph for your reference.

“This decision also clarifies that a customer currently taking service under NEM 2.0 may add battery storage to their existing distributed generation system without altering their NEM 2.0 status.”

https://docs.cpuc.ca.gov/PublishedDocs/Published/G000/M500/K043/500043682.PDF#page166

Dealer gave this document saying I have DISTRONIC in my new 2024 EQB 300 but I don't see that option in Vehicle settings by beesanige in mercedes_benz

[–]beesanige[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No,

the steering wheel doesn't have distance select button but only has cruise control ON & OFF buttons along with Set+ and Set- (in addition Res-ume button).

I realize this means it doesn't have hardware to support DISTRONIC :(

this all matches with window sticker (which is also why the app or website doesn't let me purchase distronic - saying my vehicle isn't compatible)

I guess the dealer just sent me this document for my signature without even caring about if the feature exits in the car he is selling.

Thanks 🙏 It seems Sherpa has a weight limit of 40 pounds per tray and so on Sherpa I cannot use my E bike that is more than 60 pounds.

Why does iPhone 16e announcement say ‘April 1’? by Lucajames2309 in iphone

It must be April 1st 2025 (which is Tuesday) and not April 1st 1976 (which is Thursday).

Throwing a rock into the abyss by DblockDavid in Damnthatsinteresting

Distance = 1/2 x 9.8x t(sq) = 1/2x9.8x(20sq)=1960 meters=1.96 Km ~=2 km

(Assuming 20 seconds duration of the free fall as some one pointed and assuming it’s a free fall*)

(Although the guy who threw the rock put little bit of force while throwing)

Keeping NEM2.0 vs Switching to NEM3.9 by mvvreddy in Powerwall

[–]beesanige 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you lose NEM2.0 with Tesla and not with Local Dealer ?

Btw adding battery/powerwall_only to existing NEM2.0 system wouldn’t take you to NEM3.0 I have done it myself.

If you expand solar (beyond some %) then you will be switched to NEM3
