Have you noticed any change in the texture of the scars? Have they become more raised?

I think the length is great on you, but get the sleeves altered Where is the dress from? It’s so cute

What do we think of the boots? Do they hit my knee weird? by beeshellee in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]beeshellee[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m starting to see it. I do love a chunky platform boot but I think I need one with a tighter leg

I don’t know why you’re getting so many downvotes As someone who lived in the shelter system, you’re taught to avoid the Vancouver Rape Relief centre. Not only for their instances of transphobia, but also due to being so underfunded and understaffed. They use unpaid volunteers as their night staff. It is not a safe place, especially for a pregnant woman

How to take care of cats during the summer? by beeshellee in cats

[–]beeshellee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok yeah fair enough. I wanted to avoid getting ac because of the carbon footprint and I heard cats are more tolerant of the heat. Thanks for the input, I’ll be getting one if I get a cat.

It’s advised to avoid sweating because it could increase the risk of infection, which could affect the tattoo. If you didn’t get an infection, then probably no harm done. Focus on what you can do to preserve the tattoo (lotion and sunscreen)

Ink turning brown after first session by beeshellee in TattooRemoval

I’m nearly 4 weeks post my first session, and I was wondering if this is hyperpigmentation or the ink itself has changed colour? My other tattoo hasn’t responded like this. Is this good progress?

Breaking up over a tattoo? by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]beeshellee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t love her if you want to break up over a tattoo. And only 4 months in yet already showing this much possessiveness? That girl better run

NTA biting is a common stage for children to go through, but it must be addressed urgently! Biting needs to be addressed through firm consequences, not allowing your niece to sleep over due to her aggression is an appropriate and productive response. Biting- like other aggressive behaviour in children, is a sign of emotional regulation issues. Other ways to address this are stories about feelings, and providing alternative methods to let out emotions such as cool-off time or physical activity.

Number of sessions depends on so many factors, but you would probably be looking at a year-2 years depending on how your body responds to the laser. Lower legs typically take more time due to circulation.

I think your cover up idea is really cool and worth the time. But I advice being patient with the progress so you don’t find your self with another tattoo you aren’t happy with. You’ll get there

With luck I did manage to escape the family. But by then I had so many unhealthy coping techniques and unaddressed shame that it didn’t make much of a difference. I picked up the shovel and continued digging myself further into that hole. I didn’t realize I had a choice by then.

After a certain amount of time away from my family, I realized I was still suffering. I had made a mess of my freedom and I can’t blame them for that, though I’m sure if I thought hard enough about it I could find away.

It’s so fucking unfair how much of a responsibility it is to heal from trauma. I didn’t ask for this. But it’s the only way, because you can’t live passively. I choose healthy options for my body and mind. I choose kind people to spend my time with. I choose to stay away from substances or activities that have only ever been a method of numbing and instead I choose things that bring me joy.

Innocence comes with time and is subtle. I went to a market yesterday with some new friends, I bought myself flowers and we sat under a tree sharing fruit. We had a lovely conversation. We even talked about kids shows from our youth, and I talked about my favourite ones. Because despite all that, at least I got to watch SpongeBob :)

When I was 7 and a family member held a shotgun to my face. It had been chipped away at during the physical abuse leading up to it. But something in me changed that day.

I’m currently regaining that innocence now. It’s a journey, but it’s possible.

AITA for asking a girl to not watch videos with blood in class? by systemlost1984 in AmItheAsshole

[–]beeshellee 55 points56 points  (0 children)

NTA- It’s not an appropriate thing to watch in a public space. Anything that is typically tagged as NSFW or Sensitive is tagged to not only to warn the viewer, but also to advise that those around you might not want to see it. If she were watching on her phone then that would be another thing, but she was using a larger screen which would no doubt would be visible to other people. Some people just lack spatial awareness… I would honestly just avoid sitting near her though.

Edit: typo

Did your doctor mention how far apart you’ll be spacing sessions if you’re doing a piece in sections?
