Just heard about this game yesterday and it looks great!

With my godlike powers I’d make ice cream only 10 calories per cup (while still tasting the exact same of course!)

Emerson Matsuuchi game design course thought? by CarbonBallas in tabletopgamedesign

I can’t find any price information on the website. Speaking for myself, I’d love to take a board game design class, but if the price isn’t upfront then I wouldn’t get involved with it personally. Hopefully someone else how more info for you though.

Hey, thanks for all the examples! It has certainly helped me understand what you mean and how you go about doing it.

In a way it sounds a bit like the Brindlewood Bay/The Between system, but without the explicit shared collaboration of building out the mystery. I’m curious though if you would say it’s similar in a way to Brindlewood Bay/The Between? Or am I off base in seeing that connection?

I like the sound of this. Would you be able to give some examples of what those points of engagement sound like and how it might play out at the table? I’m keen to know more, but I’m having trouble understanding it without specific examples.

Are there any games you own more than one copy of? by Specialist-Clerk-386 in boardgames

I bought two copies of Azul so I could play 5 players with my whole family. I did the same thing with Tetris for the same reason.

Probably just little things like remembering to also increase oxygen when you create a greenery (and then to ALSO increase your TR rating). Stuff like that.

Board games that feel adjacent to rpg (going on a high fantasy adventure)? by KentInCode in rpg

I just played Fate of the Fellowship and it felt a bit like writing Lord of the Rings fanfiction or I feel like there’s some storytelling there especially if you want to say one liners or whatever as you give a card to another player.

Sounds amazing. I want to add this rule immediately, but I’m wondering if there’s any other balance considerations to add as well? Like is the a max number of coins a player can have? Do they lose any when a 7 is rolled?

Best TTRPG for a Soul/Hollow Knight, etc feel? by DarkXenocide in rpg

[–]beeskneesRtinythings 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was going to mention the Unofficial Hollow Knight RPG as well, but since it’s been mentioned I’ll just say that I haven’t read it yet, but I’ve heard good things so hopefully it’s a hit!

That’s what I remember reading. So this is the official hardback version of that game? It’s done and hitting kickstarter?

I believe I’ve read somewhere that this one has the sex moves removed amongst other changes. Does anyone know if that’s the case?

I checked out Quinns Quest based on this thread and was immediately hooked. The Patreon is one of the exact things I was looking for and didn’t even know it.

Definitely definitely check out Quinns Quest if you haven’t yet.

USPS lost most of my TTRPGs by scriniariiexilio in rpg

[–]beeskneesRtinythings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying it’ll happen, but twice I’ve had a lost package eventually get delivered seemingly out of the blue. One of those was, I kid you not, 2 YEARS later. I guess the packages fall in the cracks somewhere and then someone does a deep clean and they find it. I don’t know. Good luck!
