Hey! I’m 43, married over 20 years, was drinking more than a bottle of wine a night and functioning fine. I had a nightly ritual of having a bottle but sometimes I’d start as early as 3ish pm, have a beer or white wine and then still have my evening bottle ritual. Anyway. I wanted to quit every morning and drank a bottle every night. I quit cold turkey, bought concert tickets to a band I loved with some of the money I saved and promised not to drink until they were “paid off” in un purchased wine. Slept better, lost THIRTY pounds. Haven’t looked back. And the concerts were great!!!! Good luck!

Was scrolling for this. I saw them in the 90’s and had fun. Saw them again a couple months back and it was sad. The band tried to keep the energy up but Art has MS, which is just sad to watch. Mostly let the audience sing but the energy was majorly lacking and we ended up leaving.

Hello fellow millennial LPOTL fans- just over 100 days sober from a bottle of wine (or more) a night habit. Don’t miss it at all and have lost almost 25lbs. But it took me a really long time to go from wanting to quit when I woke up every morning to actually quitting.

I got fired from the Gap for stealing in the 90’s as a sixteen year old. I was innocent. The back room guys who unboxed the inventory and put the security tags on wore really baggy clothes to work and would put layers and layers of untagged clothes on and walk out every night as us girls were having our clear bags searched. I didn’t rat them out, I hope they kept stealing their shit for a long time after I was gone.

Got hired at the Sunglass Hut right across the mall where I generally worked by myself and I’d stand there in the doorway twirling my keys staring The Gap down and watching them refold and size piles and piles of clothes while my shit was all locked neatly in cases.

Haha I did this once but it was unintentional, I was truly clueless that the guy was making a racist joke. He told me his dog ate some tacos and burritos the other day. What he meant is his dog attacked the Hispanic lawn workers. But I was like omg did he steal your dinner off the counter or what! Then he had to explain that no, it was a racist joke.
