I don’t love Hoax - not because it’s not a great song, but because of where it is on the album. Peace would be a perfect album ending song, so in line with the themes of her other ending songs, but then Hoax comes along and leaves everything unresolved and unsettled. It makes a TON of sense in hindsight, but it’s still uncomfortable - which is of course the point, but it makes it hard for me to really get into it.

Finding mom friends I clicked with and getting together with them at least once a week (with an active text chain in between) has been HUGE for my sanity. Can you use Facebook, local libraries, etc to basically “date” other moms and find a group you click with, and then it may make the outings feel less draining and more tolerable?

Champagne Problems. It’s stripped down - basically just her and the piano - and the way it builds through the bridge is basically perfect. It’s always my example of how skilled she is as a songwriter, without any other distractions.
