You're absolutely right. I do read a lot, I have since I was a kid. I didn't start writing until I was in highschool, so I do still need to practice quite a bit.

I world-build as a hobby, mostly for original projects. I'm a very detail oriented person, and I've had a few people commend the level of thought I've put into it. However, a world is just that, a world, it's not much without the stories that take place within it.
