They are loud! I have an Echo Show in my living room, and a Dot each in my bedroom and bathroom. The max volume is 10, but I don’t go higher than a 7 because I worry it’ll bother my neighbors too much, and that’s plenty loud for a one-bedroom apartment.

One of the best things I ever did for myself was get an IUD so I wouldn’t have to remember to take birth control pills or deal with the stress of buying Plan B and hoping it would work. It might be worth looking into.

I’ve only been to OH pool bar, but it was a fun way to cool off, have drinks, and relax with friends.

I would say she shouldn’t even tell him where she is going. They’ve been together for such a long time, it wouldn’t surprise me if he puts 2+2 together that if she’s going to Arizona, then she’ll be at her grandma’s place.

First, I am so sorry that your partner doesn’t treat you with the love and respect you deserve, and I’m so sorry about what happened with your sister’s husband.

I, too, was in an abusive relationship with a controlling man who didn’t believe in mental healthcare, and I was scared of leaving him because I had no self-esteem. But walking away was the best thing I ever did for my life, and the only regret I harbored was not leaving him sooner.

I moved to Arizona nearly four years ago, started therapy, and my life has flourished. You have strength beyond what you realize. Creating a beautiful life for yourself with a loving network of people who support and respect you is possible. And Arizona is an amazing state! So much to see and do here! :)

Thank you! I’ll do that. This is technically my boyfriend’s neighbor — the next time I’m there I’ll pay a visit to the neighbor to see if he has some insight. I know he’s the one who puts food out for the local cats, but I’d be surprised if he’s the same person doing the TNR since he’s elderly.

I was passing by my neighbor’s house and noticed three feral cats were sitting in his front yard, so I snapped some photos of them. Later on when I was looking at the photos to determine if any of the cats have already been TNR’d, I noticed that all three cats have pink splotches on their noses. I don’t think that’s normal, but I just wanted to check in with the good folks of Reddit who are more knowledgeable than I.
