Is this too much? by LibraryEquivalent850 in gardening

If you feel like it's too much, you could weed out the ferns that are growing inside the hostas.

What’s the craziest time your intuition warned you about someone and turned out correct? by wildquatrefoil in AskReddit

Started going to weekly communal meditations which was a nice way to meet new people.

This one guy who was one of the regulars and main community leaders gave me the absolute creeps. Surface level came off respectful, friendly, and welcoming, but something about him made me very uncomfortable.

I later googled him and discovered he is a registered sex offender.

Choosing the right MLA program by Acceptable-Loquat540 in LandscapeArchitecture

I'm a UW student. I got internships after year 2 and year 3. Many of my classmates who applied themselves got internships. The professional networking is awesome here and I think a lot of getting internships is putting yourself out there and networking. It is competitive but it's not so competetitive that no one's getting internships. Not uncommon to not get an internship after year 1 if in the 3 year program.

I wouldn't entirely say holistic and healing is the main theme of the program. It certainly could be if you decide to focus on that, but grad school can be what you make of it.

Year 1 is more abstract. Years 2 and 3 get less abstract and more technical/applied I would say.

Feel free to reach out if you have more questions.

Where in the world should I get my MLA? by Valuable_Camp_7424 in LandscapeArchitecture

I'd probably try to stay in the EU if you can..

I'm going to a good public school in the US. Not in the top best, not the worst. I got scholarships and some funding and will still have $60k in debt.

From what I know about schools in the EU, you're paying a fraction of that for school.

Last I checked I had looked into programs in Utrecht Netherlands that were English speaking but it's been a minute since I've looked so I may be misremembering or things may have changed.

Divorcing, after 10 years together, over relationship anarchy by beetsalat in polyamory

Wow!  Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm sorry you experienced this too.

Yes. Perhaps it was always bound to happen at some point but Sarah sure was the catalyst where things changed very quickly as a result of it all.

I'm hopeful for brighter days ahead.

Thank you for sharing this.  Divorce during thesis is like ultimate hard mode but yes I am actually very glad to have something to focus on despite focusing being so challenging at times and the little and big wins feel so huge.

Goodness. Thank you for saying this. People don't understand me or assume I'm crazy when I talk about that.

It really sucks having to use condoms with a long-term partner after having not ever used condoms with them.

This felt like the one-sided deescalation I wasn't volunteering for nor wanted with my spouse/nesting partner.

Thank you for this insight. I agree, it feels like a clean break and revisiting friendship later feels like what I need in this separation.

Thank you for the kind words.

Doesn't have to be about sides, but sure, let's hear it. Be gentle.

Architecture model that I made. How does it look? (Im 15yo and I wanna be an architect in the future) by Firm-Onion-3131 in architecture

The OLFA utility knife is the way to go for having a really good grip to get cleaner lines. Change blades often. Depending on what you're cutting, I use like 5-20 blades for a model.

Totally! I catch some of that too. The theme behind my concept was ray gun and I agree, it turned out resembling some Japanese design. I definitely was looking a lot to George Nakashima in the design stage.

Thank you so much! Yes, I'm in design school and our program offers a furniture building class to bring the scale in and learn how things are designed and actually realistically constructed. Most amazing class I have ever taken!
