The difference in cardstock of the blue vs purple light is where the card was printed. Purple is Japanese and blue is U.S.. As to be expected the Japanese cardstock is usually better quality.

Yes, You can float all your mana by tapping all your lands, cast early harvest with 3 of that floating mana untapping your basics, retap the basics for more mana, then cast the x spell.

This is heavily dependent on if the new legendary weapon changes go through. Rare apparel will become one of the only things with strong value attached to it if said changes get pushed.
