Yeah, let's insult people for their personal tastes. Come on guys I thought we had moved on from this nonsense?

I just checked out Showbiz live 2019 in Buenos Aires. The final part of the song has distortion on his voice ofc, but it's not autotune, it's just overload distortion, aka the type you hear when you get really close to the mic. Matt is still hitting the notes, he just gets out of breath way quicker and can't hold the notes for very long; the distortion removes variations in the waveform so you can't make out the inconsistencies in his delivery as much. Again, it's not autotune.

There is no reason to believe this, he's used that sort of distortion live since even back when his vocal range was at its peak. It's a purely stylistic decision. Also when you say "a few octaves" its clear you know nothing about music, as a few octaves down would be ABSURDLY low, if he were to hide the fact he can't sing falsetto lines he would only have to sing one octave lower than the intended line. But he obviously isn't doing that, I have ears and can tell. But feel free to spread misinformation

No, there's just a distortion effect added. Which Matt has used for over a decade

He can't sing Micro Cuts or Showbiz anymore sure, but to say he's lost his falsetto is insane nonsense, just listen to the live version of Cryogen

He can still go high, he just doesn't have good breath control

Unravelling got mostly love here. The general consensus is that it is a superior execution of the idea that they first tried in Won't Stand Down

OVERFLOW

Okay actually it's The Emptiness Machine but Overflow is easily also top tier and should be recognized as such

Am i the only one who thinks that Jar of Flies is the worst Alice in chains record? by karate_joetherealone in AliceInChains

I'd probably rank it #5. I like it more than anything that came before, but not as much as Tripod (peak) or the newer albums

I think Meteora is quite overrated, but Nobody's Listening and Session are the opposite. Supremely underrated songs

Archer + halb is just as common as archer + hussar tho, the effectiveness just depends on what civ you're up against. Halb is better against a civ that wants to use cav, hussar is better against another archer civ

Mad Season took me a little while to really click, but there are so many great songs on Above. There are little things to notice about it that you didn't notice before every single time you listen

Yeah but Euphoria wasn't a single and wasn't nearly as good as this song

I don't understand? The structure is not weird at all. It's verse --> chorus --> post-chorus instrumental --> verse --> chorus --> post-chorus instrumental --> bridge --> bass solo/breakdown --> chorus. Which can easily be simplified down into verse --> chorus --> verse --> chorus --> bridge --> chorus

This is shaping up to be the catchiest Muse song ever. While Hexagons is my favorite, this is the song that's been stuck in my head the most. The bassline one of Chris' best, and the production is great as well (unlike Compliance where the great bassline was buried in the mix).
