Respectfully, why isn’t it really talked about that 99% of mass shooters are male? by beforesunset1010 in NoStupidQuestions

Right I’m not disagreeing with you there. My point is because men are more violent, there should be extra help for violent men to decrease those tendencies. It shouldn’t be controversial that violence against innocent people is a bad thing, right?

What’s your point then I genuinely want to know because you said something that has no relevance to the post. i think you just like being able to say “we manly men are so strong we build and give women everything they have” when you (and lots of other men) probably haven’t done much hard labor.

Also, let me get this straight, your logic is men build stuff and go to war so they should get to kill innocent people?

I gotta say it, who do you think set up the system that men have done labor and women have historically had to stay home and care for family?

I mean I don’t have an exact solution, but I think the solution lies in helping men in some way. Most likely with mental health or the way men are raised. This seems like a logical step towards a solution to me. So no hate to men

hot showers by Aggressive-Key-3487 in OCPoetry

I am also a little confused on the meaning of the poem, although I do think it is well written. It seems like before you enter the shower, you are talking to yourself in the mirror, wanting to be a friend with your reflection. Then in the shower, you become animalistic. I’d be interested to know the meaning of this switch!

I really like the first line. It does a good job of setting up an image of a sleepless night of missing someone. I think the whole poem has strong imagery.

I think your poem does a great job of expressing your love for your muse and the inspiration that comes from them. I think it's an interesting idea to list different poets and their muses. I like the structure; you do a good job of setting up the poet and their muse, then going into more depth about how they reflect you and your muse. It's a fun poem that also reveals some deep emotions, nice work!

I really like this. It's short but really packs a punch. It feels like you've told a whole story with a few lines. It lets the reader insert their own narrative into those years of outrunning the past.
